Paws, Just to keep you updated, had Deuce back to the Vet today. B/S count down to 66 from 102 last time and 396 prior to that. Doc says that is lower than she wants it,so we are going back down to 14 rather the 15 units of insulin twice daily. He has also lost another pound in weight which the vet is happy about. He has lost just under 5# since he has started the insulin.I'm sure because of the change in his diet...No meat...No table scraps.. only grain type food....Hell I would loose weight too! snake-eyes

Paws, Well, I hope this is this last update I have to give you on Deuce.Had him back to Vet last Friday and his B/S count was 154,which is just about where the Vet would like to see it. (i.e. between 100 and 200) He is taking his shots a lot better! He acts like he is ready to eat anytime but is only fed(except for a no meat snack, now and then) at 5am & 5pm.He has actually lost 5 lbs, which the Vet says is unusual, and the result of her and our care.Told us to keep him at 14units of insulin and bring him back in $80,whoops I mean 3 weeks. Well it seems we have it in check at least for now. snake-eyes
