HHH still has the application process to go through but I do not foresee a problem. My understanding is that The funeral home has asked for the money up front. That is a chuck of change. HHH does have a pay pal donation page to add to the general fund for the application. Not realy sure which would be faster. We would get the money immediately, you would get a tax credit and we could write one check. Not sure how the rest of you are getting your money to Toby. He has to pay most of it by Wednesday and the rest (about $2800) by Thursday. I wish we had all of it but we just paid a significant claim last month. Arrgghhh.

I figure these guys will have their check in the mail tomorrow and probably to Toby by Wednesday or so. The funeral home is just going to have to wait for their dough; that simple.

Seriously, what you guys are doing is terrific. Those of us who can take advantage of the Pay Pal thing should do so and take advantage of of your offer. Thanks Ken.

I've been away for a while and just read about this. I am so shocked and saddened that I hardly know what to say or where to start.
My most sincere condolences are with Toby and his family as they face perhaps the darkest moment of their lives. I cannot begin to imagine how devastating this is for each member of the family. All I know to say is that I have you guys in my thoughts and prayers...and pray that you will be offered some consolation in knowing that many of your extended family (out here in cyberland) are thinking of you and praying for strength to help you through all this.
Toby, you are welcome to give me a shout if you ever feel a need for a confidential friend to talk to. Give me a shout here...or at my Yahoo address...I have that one working again
Deeply sorrowed...

We are so sorry for your loss. Even though words mean very little at a time like this, the following Scriptures have meant a lot to me when I have experienced loss.
John 11:25 ( KJV ) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 14:1-3 ( KJV ) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
May God bless you and grant you the peace that passes all understanding.

From HHH.... As it stands right now, we would have to get enough pay pal donations by tomorrow evening to really make difference. That is when I hope to get the vote on the application taken care of. We have a certain amount we are considering at this time so if you intend on making a paypal donation, let Toonces know so he can look for it. If we receive it after the vote, then we can forward it to Toby but that make delay him getting it. If we had a few more days.....

I've asked Toby to show the posts reflecting the efforts of a number of organizations in hopes of getting them to ease off their deadline. I have no doubt they will be compliant once they see the sincere effort behind Toby. Guys, do what you can and know that you have done yiour best. Your efforts are appreciated. You HHH guys effort has been phenominal and will be remembered.

I was thinking something bright and festive somewhat like how Terri was. What do you guys think of this? For the card: "May God grant you an eternity of laughter and celebration as you have shown us how to live." Chicken, little sister, we love you and miss you. Ohio Camp Cooks

Thanks guys. They are adding streamers for the "Chicken, our Little Sister" thing and tripled the size of the arrangement. I think I like it.

From Toby: All of this outpouring of love has been so moving, my family is overwhelmed by the tragedy, but completely humbled by the support from so many. It is an embarrassment to be in such a financial straights; we've always been a private little family and proud. This is the first time we've had to rely on the generosity and love of others to get us through and there truly is no way to tell you how much this is appreciated. The funeral bill is a tad over ninety-three hundred dollars. Final word from the funeral home/cemetary is that there will not be a burial until the contract is paid in full...I was there today with them explaining about all of the help coming our way. A distant cousin today contacted my father and offered a short term loan. Another friend to the family is loaning us an additional thousand dollars. Together we've come up with shortly over eleven hundred dollars on our own and am praying that the HHH can commplete the task in time. Once the burial and services are over then we will begin to repay my cousin's loan. I'm selling off my cattle and horses and trying to shield my family from the burden this has created as much as possible. With my brother's chemo therapies, my sisters heart surgeries, my fathers knee replacement and sunsequent hospitalization from staff infections, the loss of my grandmother weeks ago, and now this...all since December; it has left them quite at a loss. They're good people, hard working, devout Christians, and have always been quick to offer aid and assistance when they see a need. Now you all are coming through for them...thank you my friends. I can't express how much I love and appreciate you all. God Bless You. Toby is encouraged and believes that they will be able to continue on schedule. He asked that I share this with you and let you know how much he truly appreciates your efforts.

I am getting ready to finalize the final vote with an amount and it is limited to what we have in the account at this time. Right now there is no activity on the PayPal account (but we have been informed of technical difficulties with the web site). If you have used the PaypPal account to make a donation, let us know asap.
Otherwise, it may be best to senf it directly to Toby.

You mean you guys wouldn't follow the Obama exmple and ask for a loan from China along with a new debt ceiling? Couldn't resist.

Fortunately, we are a little more fiscally responsible than our government. ;D Unfortunately, we need to be better fundraisers. We are just a bunch of grassroots hacks trying to keep our jobs, be with our families and run an organization at the same time. Fortunately, these last two significant applications have generated renewed interset/involvement in HHH. Unfortunately, these last two significant applications has depleated our general account. That's a good thing, right?
