www.grassfire.org/3142/offer.asp?rid=11550023Yesterday before congress members of Homeland Security admitted that they had lied in their prosecution of agents Ramos and Campeon. Testimony they had given under oath included "Agent Ramos had wanted to shoot a Mexican!" "The suspect that was shot was not believed to be dangerous." and on and on. Gentlemen this is an absolute outrage and I have already called the White House this morning expressing my anger at this. The prosecutor, as well as the Administrator of HLS need to be investigated , charged with perjury, and fired immediately as a minimum. To think that a citizen can be taken from the safety and security of his home even the protection of his nation and worse to think it is the very government charged with this protection that is doing it. This kind of thing must be stopped and stopped cold with heated anger and tenacity or this nation can not stand. The level of greed , corruption and self import of our leaders has grown beyond the limits of tolerance. This government and the way of doing business must be brought to a screeching halt for the sake of Democracy. I urge you call your President, express your anger at this incident and tell him to set these two men free immediately and take strong intentional steps to punish those bastards who put them into prison in the first place. 202-456-1111

Today Representative Poe of Texas asked congress for an investigation into the arrest and trial of Ramos, Campeon, and a Texas Deputy Sheriff being tried for "accidentally shooting" an illegal alien in the process of violating the border/ Poe claims there are numerous irregularities in these cases and believes that the Federal Judiciary has overstepped it's bounds in bringing their prosecutions. He claims that numerous concessions were granted to the Plaintiffs in these cases in return for their testimony by the Federal Prosecutors. He also claims that these prosecutions were "arranged" between the Federal Prosecutor's office and the Mexican government who insisted on their execution. Poe's says that the testimony of the Plaintiffs is perjured and as a former judge himself these cases should have never been brought against these "border protectors." Poe says that upon request for transcripts that interviews with the Inspector General and the Federal Prosecutor's office resulted in congress being lied to, mis-led, and accused the Federal Prosecutor's office of "foot dragging" in coming forth with documentation. Poe says the Inspector General's office told investigators that the defendants Ramos and Campeon knew that the plaintiff was not armed and that they had planned to "shoot a Mexican." Poe says these lies must be explained.

2 dead in attack on migrants in Ariz. Posted 5h 33m ago | Comments 18 | Recommend 4 E-mail | Save | Print |
By Arthur H. Rotstein, Associated Press TUCSON — Gunmen ambushed nearly two dozen suspected illegal immigrants and smugglers packed into a pickup early Friday, killing two people and wounding at least one, authorities said. The shooting occurred in the Green Valley area about 20 miles south of Tucson, Pima County sheriff's Bureau Chief Richard Kastigar said. People inside the truck described bullets cutting into the rear of the pickup as the driver tried to flee, he said.
Sheriff's deputies responded shortly after the shooting was reported after 5 a.m., and found the bodies of a man and a woman, authorities said. One wounded person was hospitalized; authorities said a smuggler believed to have been wounded in the hand has not been caught.
Two or three smugglers late Thursday had picked up 23 illegal immigrants, including some children, from the Mexican state of Chiapas, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said. They entered the U.S. on foot near Sasabe, Ariz.
The pickup driver drove off, and the people in the truck ran off into the desert. As deputies and U.S. Border Patrol agents searched for them they also found several unrelated groups of illegal immigrants and took them into custody.
FIND MORE STORIES IN: Ariz | Sheriff | Tucson | Pima County Detectives don't know if the assailants were in another vehicle or were on foot. Investigators didn't have a description of the assailants and were still interviewing the victims. None of the suspected smugglers had been identified.
There have been several similar attacks on illegal immigrants and smugglers in southern Arizona in recent months. Rival smugglers often try to steal migrants' cash or hold them for ransom.
A similar incident Feb. 8 left three dead and two others wounded northwest of Tucson. No arrests have been made in that case.

Becoming Illegal (Actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his senator)
The Honorable Tom Harkin 731 Hart Senate Office Building Phone (202) 224 3254 Washington DC, 20510
Dear Senator Harkin,
As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.
My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.
Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.
Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.
If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative.
Thank you for your assistance.

Ramos and Campeon may soon be freed if all goes well on the hill over the next few days. Somebody, stuck an ammendment in the Judiciary funding bill to disallow any funding for the imprisonment of the two border guards. If this passes they will have to be released pending their appeals. Also congress is looking at funding approvals that include ammendments for "Visa Waiver Expansions" that need a real hard look and voted down by the house or pulled from the funding bills. Effectively, at a time of crisis these buttwads are talking about making entry easier and sneaking it past the citizenry. There are other such "low key" movements happening also. For a full look at what these bastards are trying, go to www.numbersusa.com and inform yourselves and then take action.

Make sure you catch Glenn Beck tonight for a look at what is happening on the Texas Laredo border with Nuevo Laredo Mexico. Been a genuine firefight there for some time now that we never hear about in the NEWS.
