Well, today is the day. Today, we (the Hill's) invade Florida to see Mickey Mouse. So, if I'm not on here for the next week or so, y'all will know why.
I have been thinking about getting wired internet access while at Disney WOrld. I have not made up my mind about it yet. So I may show up on here, and I may not.

We got here yesterday around 12:30 local time. We got in our room, then went to Magic Kingdom. For those of you who don't know, Disney has 4 major parks, (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studio, and Animal Kingdom). There is more, but those are the major four. We spent about 7 hours in Magic Kingdom, and didn't see it all. We are planning on going back today and finish that one, then hit a different one tomorrow. Things are expensive here. When you buy something, figure on paying about twice what you would normally pay elsewhere.
Toby, if those girls were from Arkansas, they had to be pretty, that is a requirement. But, they probably aren't kin to me. We don't inbreed like those who live in Florida.

Expensive??? Really??? I heard they jacked up the price on acounta they heard you was coming. It's criminal they way they charge around Orlando; the most expensive city in Florida. But it's worth every dime...every ten years or so. I haven't been back since Grad night. One night a year they stay open until 3:00am for high school seniors. I attended in '88 with Shiela Benfield...what a night!

Is it an omen that the Pastor shows up and the Disney monorail crashes and kills the driver?

Is it an omen that the Pastor shows up and the Disney monorail crashes and kills the driver? We went to Epcot today and stayed all, and I do mean all day. I didn't hear about the monorail driver until about noon when we accidently overheard another man talking about it. We had plans to ride that contraption today, but it was shut down due to the accident. Tommorrow....either Downtown disney or Hollywood studios.

I heard abut the monorail and can't say I was surprised. I just knew Freddie was gonna crash something.
I WAS surprised however when I learned he didn't have anything to do with it. Just dumb luck I s'pose.
Ya'll gonna hit Universal studios while you're here? It's dawgonned amazing! Expensive, but worth every penny.
How about this Florida weather? Enjoy it while you can!

Not Universal, but Holllywood Disney.
The weather here ain't too much different than from home. Seems like it is about the same humidity, but not quite as much heat. Instead of 100 degree days, like in Ark., here it is in the mid-90's.

We are now back in Arkansas! We had to leave our hotel 3 hours before our flight home, so we left about 6:30 AM Eastern time. Our flight out of Orlando was at 9:30 and we arrived in Atlanta about 10:30 Eastern Time. We had a 3 hour layover, then we flew to Little Rock. We got on the ground about 2:30 PM Central time. One of our bags took a side trip to Ohio, of all places, and we had to wait 3 hours for it to catch up to us. I think Phil had something to do with that! We finally arrived home about 8 PM last night, and are still tired. I will try to post a few pictures as soon as I catch up on things around here. Tomorrow, back to work.

Thank God ya'll made it home safely. I hope you had a fun trip, too. Too bad ya couldn't a found a half hour or so for me to drive out and share a cup of coffee with ya. I'd have enjoyed meeting you face to face after all these years of reading your preaching. Ah well, when yer on vacation, yer on vacation and the flock's just out on it's own, lol.
Lookin' forward to yer photos! ;D

Fair results for the 2009 Pike County Fair are in!
We carried 16 Brown Bovine hens that we got from the 4-H (you have to give 4 out of every 25 you get back to the 4-H and we got 100 this year). We also carried 4 goats and 1 feeder steer.
chickens - 3 blue ribbons and 1 red. This is the first year that the Grand Champion pen of 4-H chickens went to the premium sale. We were hoping to get Grand Champion but no such luck.
goats - meat division- we entered all 4 goats in the meat division. Each boy had 2. Anthony's were both in the same weight class and Lucas's were too, but a different weight class. So, Lucas showed Anthony's biggest goat, and vice versa. In class 3, Anthony won 3rd and 6th out of 8 goats. In class 4, Lucas placed 8th and 9th out of 9 goats. IF there are 8 or more in the class, 3 go to the premium sale, so Anthony was guaranteed to go to the sale. Lucas was not. We also showed the does in the commercial breeding class. Lucas placed 3rd and Anthony 4th out of 10. Commercial does are not carried to the premium sale. Anthony also won a blue ribbon for showmanship, but all those that were in his age division, 5-8 years old, won a blue ribbon. Lucas got beat again.
Feeder steer - we got a nice feeder steer this year from John Terrell Farms. He was 481 lbs when we got him and 48 days later (when weighed at the fair) weighed 532 lbs. Not a bad weight gain, but still needs work. Lucas placed 4th in the prelims in his class and was eliminated. I never did find out where he placed overall, but I think it was about 10th out of 11. The steer had a problem with his right front leg, and although he didn't favor it, the judge counted off on it. We were also in the class that the grand champion came out of. A very tough class.
Both boys made the premium sale. Anthony with his goat and Lucas with the steer. They sold back to back. Lucas sold first for $400 before they added on and Anthony sold for $300 before add-ons.
All in all, not a bad fair. We were hoping for better results, like placing higher or Grand Champion, but it was not to be this year. We are all very tired. We went every night as soon as we got off work, worked animals, then got home just in time to take a shower and get in bed. I AM GLAD IT'S OVER FOR ANOTHER YEAR!

Yep, in a way. We will probably stay here during the week, and out there on the weekends. The church realizes that there isn't any jobs out there, or at least jobs that pay anywhere close to what we make here. So they are willing to allow us to work here during the week, and stay out there on the weekend. That is after they finish re-painting the parsonage.

HELP!!
I finished my sermon notes on my laptop in Oklahoma today and thought that I could save my notes on a memory stick. I tried to load my notes on my home computer and all I can get is the title page. NO NOTES! Any ideas?

Try puting your memory stick back in your laptop and see if it will read. If it does transfer it to the disc and convert it to simple Text format, no Winword, MSword, etc. Just plain text. Then copy it to the stick and try loading back in your PC. If all else fails Still fails remember; "All things work together for good for those who love The Lord and are called acording to His purpose!"

Anthony's baseball team, the Murfreesboro Rattlers 7-8 year olds, beat Delight tonight 8-1. We are now 2-1 in league play. Anthony went 0-2 with one strikeout and one force out.
