MAY be picking Eloise up?? You pick her up! I mean walk right in that living room and sling her over your shoulder then pack her in that pick m up truck of yours! Just watch that first step coming down off the porch. It's a lulu. Anybody else you want to bring is welcome too. Looks like we might be dodging rain, but a little bath never killed anyone.
Pasta salad is made and marinading. Fruit salad goes together this evening. Burgers, brats, and salmon are in the fridge.

She is coming in later. She has to take her dog to the vet for "de-suturing". Peg and Bruce are definitely not coming. Snake Eyes I'm still leaning on and trying to make him feel bad! KJ has not returned my calls. She knows what up! Noodles got to work. Wonder if I could get Sue, Rose, and Karen out? Sounds like a G (.) (.) D idea to me!

Glad you all made it. We had Paws, Bruce, Noodles & kj, our boys (Rob & Martin), their friend (Tim-Tim), Mike & I. Didn't someone say early on that we had too much food? Hmm... If so, were'd it all go?? Mike and I sure had a good time breaking in that new grill. We did some later calculations and figure we can fit either 50 burgers, 100 bratwursts, 50 ears of corn, or 25 bass on it at one time. But we forgot the salad greens. They're still growing in the back yard. Menu consisted of: "What's Hell Like" Chicken Chili, chicken, hamburgers, bratwursts, salmon, roasted sweet corn, pasta salad, fruit salad, cheese & cracker trays, homemade pickles, iced tea, iced coffee ( thanks Rob), diet Pepsi, coffee, raspberry wine. Did I miss anything? Wasn't no boobies at the feast. But almost had a full moon when someone's chair went sinking into the earth. Pics will come later. As soon as I remember to take the film in for developing.

Faith that sounds good...I will need detailed directions or I guess I could follow Phil, if he comes? Is this the one you were talking about when we talked on the phone?? My Beagles are barking out back so I best go see what is going on out there? I hope it is nothing more than they have a cat cornered?? Let me know what you are planning to have or better yet tell me what to bring. Sharon

From your place, I'd suggest SR7 to US35 (Gallipolis) to SR279 (Centerville/Thurman P.O.) to SR93 (Oak Hill). When you come out onto SR93 in Oak Hill, turn left on 93 and go 6 miles. We'll have a sign posted at the end of our road. It'll be 1/2 mi. past the Jackson/Lawrence county line and on your left.
So far, it looks like we're in for a fun time. Mike has all dem ornry Britton guys coming. Horseshoe pit is installed and ready.

Me and Bruce will be there! As far as I know anyhow. Sharon, you want us to come by with our GPS lady? Maybe we can circle Family Dollar there in Middleport for a couple of hours. Now If I got this right we are bringing "what we want to drink" which means there must not be any more wine, and a watermelon to grill. p.s. Bruce is the bald one I'm the one with "brown" hair! Yes, I said "brown" hair! I asked my barber what up and he has no idea but it has started to turn brown.

So, if your GPS gal is so good??? Why did she have you circling the Family Dollar in Middleport?? I will try mine and she if it will get me to Faith's, but I have written Faith's directions down just in case. Faith are you BBQing roosters?? Let us know what you are planning to have to give us some ideas of what to bring?? Phil, you give some idea of what you are bringing so we do not double things. I am thinking of a fruit salad for one thing??? I would like to bring maybe Brats...I have a 3 pound frozen box of them in the freezer.

Snake here's a link to the map. You might need to zoom in or out. maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Reynoldsburg,&daddr=4+Hill+Rd&hl=en&geocode=%3BFQabUAIdGb8T-w&mra=ls&sll=38.837969,-82.586803&sspn=0.021728,0.035019&ie=UTF8&z=8 What to bring? What to bring??? Well it looks like quite a gathering is forming. There'll be Mike, me, and our two boys. Phil & Bruce. Sharon. Snake Eyes & his wife (and dog is welcome too). One of the boys buddies. Maybe the other boy's girlfriend (if she's home from FL). Mike's brother & wife from Reynoldsburg. Mike's other brother & his wife from the Westerville area. Mike's dad & maybe his buddy & wife from Belmont & Monroe county. Maybe our next-door-neighbors. And depending on gas prices, maybe my folks, and our daughter from Rockcastle Co. KY. So, if I said don't worry about bringing something.......I LIED!! We'll have burgers, kabob makings, baked beans, and probably a couple other dishes as the notion grabs hold of me. Phil, you want me to whip up some more of that pasta salad like we had before?? Now....Everyone start praying for no rain on the 27th.

Yes that past salad is really good and stretches quit a ways. We got any corn on the river yet? I'll keep an eye out up here and see if I can get hold of a couple dozen ears. River tomatoes ought to be on the market pretty quick. Oh, I'm bringing my "OFF" insect repellant too. Putting it in the ruck right now!

Make sure it's the deep woods formula! Mike and I managed to get another decent sized swath of front yard cleared and burned last night before the storm hit. Hmmmm.........Most definately yes! That's where the barn is going later down the road. The horse shoe pits should be completed today if the mud dries out a little. YES I said HORSE SHOES. That corn hole stuff won't help build up no strong arms or shoulders. That's easy! 'Cause she needed humored and wanted to make sure he could follow simple directions before she told him where to turn!

We've moved the campfire site to a more shaded area in a new part of 'yard'. Still close to the house. We sent today giving the site an initial burn-down and mowing. Of course, if it gets too danged hot, there's always a big living room with a/c and comfy seats. Phil, you can drive through the yard to unload and circle on around the back of the house to the drive way. That way you won't need Ol' Blue turned for you. If you think of it, you might want to stop along the way and pick up a big bag of ice. I figure we'll go through it fast. I'll probably not be back online between now and Saturday. Mike and I keep our phones on us though. Still have lots of yard work to accomplish. See y'all this weekend!!
