As of right now I can make it. Would be nice to get away from here and air my brain out a little. Had a little family crisis today and won't know more until tomorrow morning or Monday. The ear lobe trick didn't work this time. Just look for a silver Pontiac van driven by a haggard looking fat lady and my BB name on the windshield. ;D

Thanks for the heads up Paws, I'll do my best to save the hat...LOL Now Miss Faith, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. A boy has these little short hairs at the back of his neck. Right where the hair line is in the center that's attached directly to his butt and feet. Get hold of those hairs between the thumb and forefinger and don't let go. Lift a little and they'll go forward, from there all you gotta do is steer....Trust me, It works, ask Chris and Matt.... ;D ;D ;D Now if it's mike your talking about, I ain't gonna offer no suggestions.....you probably know better than I do anyhow..... ;D ;D

Phil, out of curiosity, I did some looking on the web and found the website for Prospect Mansion. They've got a genealogy section on it. Guess what? We just blew through a brick wall I've had in doing the Adams line in Mike's family. I'd traced them to Fauquier Co, VA but that was it. Didn't know much about the Adams in Ohio except for the Belmont Co. cousins.
But now there's a puzzle, how did this abolitionist family end up with a bunch of mulatto kin?? Perhaps a split in the family over abolition. Every time Mike gets a nice dark tan, I chuckle and pull out the census records and laugh that it's just his coon-hide coming out. ;D

Well I'd guess that Mike's ancestory is probably French and that if he had relatives in the South there is no surprise at all. The French had a soft spot for the black race and took many to their households for spouses. Don't know a whole lot about Adams except that the earliest had four distinct lines in Kentucky.

Well now that you mention it, there is a family resemblance to Uncle Fester. Mike shaved his beard off right after GT and had me buzz him with the bare clippers and shave his head the other night. Jack, these be the Adams from Fauquier Co. Va that stopped by Greene Co. PA before finally landing here.
