Tony,
Brian Warner just got a CVA sidelock .54 that he's thinking on trading for an inline, because he's a lefty and doesn't like the cap snapping in his face.
I called him to let him know what ya got here, so you two might get together.

Hey Tony, Toby called me about the ML. I just got a sidelock CVA "Mountain Hunter" 54 cal. It has a black composite stock. The guy that had it had the charge stuck in it and in his infinate wisdom, tried to remove the breech plug and nipple journal. I have to send the barrel back to CVA and have the breech plug and nipple journal replaced and the barrel thouroghly checked before I would commit to anything. The rest of the rifl is in nice shape. It only has open sights on it. If your interested, drop me an e-mail or call me. callingalltoms@yahoo.com or 318-949-9008 Talk at you later, Brian

Hay Buddy,, How are you doing? Been around, but don't post much anymore... Sounds like the last owner was a butcher.. Dose it still have a charge in it?? Send me some pictures of it,, If it's been fixed and looks good, I have no problem doing the trade.. When you send it back, It may need a new barrel replacement. Due to damage of trying to take off the breech plug and nipple journal.. If so, see if they can replace it with a .45 cal/ .50 cal.. instead of the .54 cal.. I've been selling all of my in-lines (except my Knight DISC Extreme)..

I called CVA and they said it was not a big deal for them to replace the breech plug and nipple journel. The journel is actually quite functional BUT it has tool marks on it so I want them to replace it anyways. The rest of the gun is in good shape, He only shot it twice. The first time to sight it in he said and then after that, he had not cleaned the nipple and it misfired. He cleaned the nipple and it foired again. Then he forgot to clean the nipple again and it misfired so he left it like it was, LOADED. I got the load out of it no problem with a ball removal tip on the ramrod. The funny part of it all was he bought an in-line because of the misfires and had the same problem. THAT rifle, I used a grease gun to pump the load out and then cleaned it up and sent him on his way.

Buddy, I'm not going to worry about you..
If you don't like it,, send it back.
But I know your going to enjoy it.. It's a good shooter ....
I'm sending the manual and breech plug remover tool with it.. Just remember, It's not like a sidelock, after your day of shooting, you have to take out the plug to clean it.... Any questions, just give a holler..
Let me know when you ship yours,, so I will looking for it.......
I got one question ,, Are your 18 , old enough to receive it ;D ;D....
