Need three irons about 44 inches long by about 3/8ths inch thick pointed on one end with nearly closed loops about 2 inches in diameter at the other end. This will allow them to be used as a spit or as an "A" frame. Would like to have two sets along with a dozen "S" hooks and linked chains of about 24 inches each. I know similar things are around but, can't seem to put my hands on them.

Come my friend to the rolling hills of New England where you can still find all the iron you wish. I've seen many a barn along the routes leading from Eastern NY up into Massachussettes and Vermont. I'm sure if you wish to travel futhur, you can reach New Hampshire and parts of Maine.........It may be worth the drive taking the scenic routes in the late fall when the leaves are in full color.

They would look like an extended "eye" bolt Griz or the stand offs for TV lead in wire. About forty two or so inches long to the bend in the eye with the eye being about an inch and a half in diameter. For constructing an "A" frame one merely needs to thread the sharp end through one eye, then the last through the 2nd eye and spread the legs. A chain can then be suspended using an "S" hook to attach it. For the spit two of the irons are driven into the ground on either side of the fire pit and the third is threaded through the two eyes forming the spit which can be used with "S" hooks and chains to suspend several pots. I think round stock would be better than square or flat stock because of them possibly being used to impale meat and driven into the ground. :DHey you know what, they look just like your Grand Dad's fire poker with a loop in the end only longer!

What is a TSC? We have no Home Depot. There is a Lowes under construction at present though. I'm not sure if cold rolled would work Chuck cause remember this is supposed to look like 1860 or older stuff.
Just found a set of exactly what I'm looking for only 48 inches long! How is that forluck. Should have them in hand in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all your effort guys! ;D
