Think I'm staying home just like on Thanksgiving. Got a small smoked turkey, 12 pound, to cook and make myself a batch of chicken N noodles with mashed spuds, green bean thing, dressing, rolls, gravy and maybe a pie or two. Might drop by the Legion to share some late afternoon cheer with the boys and the big screen TV. Might call my kids and wish them a Merry Christmas.

Paws, Shame we ain't neighbors.....My wife will be leaving for South Carolina on Dec 23 to spend with her son and his family. She will return on the 26th. I have some minor surgery that needs done but won't know when till next Thurs. For financial and insurance reasons it would be great to have done before the first of the year....but only a few Drs and no hospitals care about such things IMO. Anyhoo, sounds like you will eat well. Hope you and all folks at OCC a very merry Christmas and a great 2008. snake-eyes

Maybe one day partner; never know. My miscreant cousin is talking about selling out and heading West. He says he is disabled and I guess I'll have to take his word for it. Problem is he says I'm disabled too and I know better! Discovered the Legion is closed on Christmas so I reckon I'll just find something around here that needs to be done and give myself a gift of something that works right or better.

OK folks this is what was on the menu yesterday
for breakfast it was strawberry waffles, the compote topping was home made but the whipped cream was ready whip, outstanding
Dinner: Baked glazed ham, garlic smashed taters, smashed sweet taters, honey buttered carrots, an endive salad with mushrooms, onions, fruit, nuts and cheese, hot buttered biscuits, and some home made cranberry jelly ...the glaze for the ham was home made also...finished the meal off with some "Lindor" truffles and wine...

It was terrific For breakfast I had a slice of Joann Simerly's cheesecake with strawberry topping. All sugar free since Kenny is diabetic too!
