My DOs have no brands or markings other than the size. I have one pan with a "C" under the handle. Any clues to know what brand I have. Not that I'm usually impressed with branding but more curious after reading some threads abot Griswald iron

Have not a clue. Don't think it is a Griswold but I could be wrong. Best idea is to use the links at the bottom here and post the description to the WAGS board. Dave Smith, Pan Man, lurks there on occasion and he literally wrote the book. But none the less there are a half dozen there who are very sharp on identification of the ware. Let us know how it turns out. ;D

Thats a good idea Phil, but how about sending it all to me, so I could look at it and test it , and I guarantee I'll send it back in late september with an answer!!! ;D

Sorry Steve, They were my grandmothers skilletts, I grew up eating out of them. They are so black and shiney you could use em to look up a gals.... ... I had the 5" an 8" and the 11 3/4" skillet, but some how lost that 5" skillet. Dang thing made the best omlet/western pan I ever knew. My wife doesn't understand the thrill of good black iron, so I only get to use em on occassion. (safer to keep the soap away anyway). I'll have to try the link you suggested Paws. Thanks.

I think all I'm looking for is a 13"+ and a griddle.....I saw a 13+ in the Sportsmans guide, I just dont remember the price, and I saw the griddle which will cover 2 burners on the stove for about $34 from Martha Stewart....

Well I lost the trivet very quickly. Auction has four days left and somebody thought it was worth more than twenty bucks!

Not much Steve. Just a trivet shaped like Ohio.

Can you post a picture of the markings? Seeing them may help with identifying them.
Heather - who isn't dead yet, but may be by mid-July if work keeps up like it is.
