Howdy Wildhorse!
I'm interested in that pot too, but the lack of available denero prevents me from placing an opening bid here.
Glad to see some new blood around, so be sure to visit us often.

Tall stool, they may be registered paints, but they are more than half thorobred. Remember, I'm in Montana, Men are Men, women are scarce, sheep are nervous..............

Uncle Jim says that pot is about 30 inches across by about 24 inches tall and sits in a legged stand off the ground. He doesn't know how much it weighs but the owner wants $75.00 for it. Sounds like something good for kettle corn, soap manufacturing, or boiling Miss Rosebud's drawers on Monday morning!

is that thing cast? or is it (maybe) poured steel...?what ever $75 don't sound like a bad price for it...I heard the size and thought maybe a sugaring pot but they normally have a spigot or are on a swivel stand...any one got pics of it?? would like to see it...or at least a couple of pjotos

Welcome Uncle Jim! ;D Careful how you're doing that bluegrass. I've heard it will make you go loco. Hmmm.......Is this a guessing game? Based on description only, I'd say lard kettle or perhaps one for apple butter. (Don't forget to toss a few silver dollars in the kettle before the apples to keep the butter from sticking.) Is this thing still solid? I was looking for one for my FIL before we moved. Found a couple but couldn't find a functional/usable one. He did pick up one that was rusted clean through to plant posies in though. Haven't heard if he's found one yet, or not.
