I got lucky my sister in law and her husband bought a new house in Reno and it has a 12 foot by 20 foot greenhouse it has a metal frame and plexy glass and they gave it to me so I went and got, now I can't wait to put back together, if the ground ever thaws out.

;D You lucky dog, you!!! There's been four or five greenhouses (2 of them commercial ones) within 5 miles of us that have been bulldozed! I've even offered cash and would dismantle and haul them ourselves, but nobody wants the hassle or liability.
One of these days I'm going to set up a green house like my grandmother has in Florida. There basically galvanized pipe arches covered in clear plastic and shade cloth. The ends are set up like tent flaps so she can control air circulation and temperature to some extent. Not much but it does a wonderful job!
Still... ;D...I'm so jealous of you!

An idea for you Faith, Get hold of some 1" PVC pie and form aches with it. It's very flexible. By driving some stakes in the ground that the pipe will slip over you can build a frame pretty easy and quick. Then spread your plastic sheet over that. Just an idea. Hope it helps.

Faith, This is just a thought, you might go to www.NorthernTools.com and look at a coldframe kit they have for an idea anyways. Type in the keyword "coldframe" and it will go to the page. It is made a lot like what Brian suggested with the pvc pipe, like a quonset hut, but the store bought ones they sell are structural steel (like in a carport) with galvanized support purlings, anchors, steel corner bracesand all necessary hardware. The kits do not include the covering nor the gable ends, and prices start at $389 for a 12' x 24' The PVC would probably be least expensive...but not quite as durable. It doesn't work well at my high altitude due to ultraviolet degradation from the sun.
