Miss Kathy is looking for a recipe and maybe(probably) someone can help her out. It a Broccoli cassrole like Chris's wife made Thanksgiveing. It had Broccoli, rice, mushrooms, cheesesauce and a nice crisp but not crunchy topping. She made it in a cassarole. That's about all I know about it other than it was very tasty. Anyone got any ideas?? ;D

Have her check the brocolli casserole on top of the Recipes for a crowd thread. See if that looks right. ;D

I printed it out for her earlier Paws. She said it looks very good but "It makes sooo much". I may just have to sit down with a calculator and downsize it a bit. ;D

This is a smaller batch with slightly different ingredients. A relative of Mike's brings this to family reunions and this is his recipe. It pretty good. I'm not wild about the Cheez Wiz part just because that part is a luxury on my budget most of the time.
Broccoli Rice Casserole 1 small onion, chopped 1/3 c celery, chopped 1 (10 oz) package chopped broccoli 1 TBS margarine 1 (8oz) jar Cheez Wiz 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup evaporated milk 3 cups cooked rice 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped (optional) bacon bits or bread crumbs for topping
Saute onnion, celery and broccoli in margarine for 3-5 minutes. Stir in cheese, soup and milk until smooth. Place rice (and chicken if adding it) in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish. Pour cheese mixture over: do not stir. Sprinkle with bread crumbs or bacon bits. Bake uncovered, at 325F for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Yield: 6-8 sevings.

I think I would like this recipe better. The cheese crackers in the other recipe make it a bit strong on cheddar flavor.

That's pretty close to the recipe I use, except mine calls for two cans of Campbell's cheddar cheese soup.

Hey, how'd I miss this?
I really like the looks of that recipe of Faith's. I'm gonna print it out and give it to my Mom and Sister. Hopefully one of them'll make it for me and I can come over and try it. It's too much to make for just little ol' me.

Cheese Dip
1-2 cans of tamales 1 block of Velveeta 1 can Rotel tomatoes
take the tamales and cut them up then add them and your Velveeta and Rotel tomatoes to a crook pot and let melt and get good and hot for about an hour or so. Then enjoy!
