Spring is just around the corner and we need to get some camping going on or at last some more out of doors cooking.. I'll be doing a big demo for the Scout Leaders coming up on March 18th..standard recipes will be fixed...we'll also be doing a foil dinner demo on the 11th...lots of work but it gets 50-70 more folks cooking out doors..so it's worth it..and if all goes according to plan these folks will take this knowledge back to their troops and teach the boys how to do it... I promise that I'll try and get some pics of the demo as it's being put together so ya'll can see the mes.....er....spread we put on..I know that I have promised to post the pics of the step by step of the "Garbage Can Turkey" so I'll most defiantly try and get them posted... So what have ya'll got planned to kick of the new season with?

Well let's see. I guess I'm going to kick the season off by running through the grass and just tilled fields bare foot with as little clothes on as the neighbors will let me. Then, I'm going to find a big rock out in the middle of the creek and sun myself while sipping on a mason jar of sweet tea before jumping in the still cold water head first.
Then maybe, possibly, when I return to reality, I'll teach myself how to do a little baking outdoors. ;D

I love out door baking..impresses people that think you can only do it in an expensive gas oven indoors...always wanted one of them jamacan stone ovens...had plans to build one a couple of years ago but the ex had other ideas about that...so it never got done...now that she's gone..maybe ;D ;D
Paws, nearly anything beats mowing grass except doing dishes ;D ;D ;D

It's going to be interesting getting the heat right. I once fired salt glazed pottery in an outdoor kiln. Now if I can take those principles and just get the temp down about 1100 degrees, I'll have it made.
