OK, ranting time again!
Had a VA appointment today. I turned in my VA card afterwards and told them I would not be back.
Doc, after reading the MRI report;
Wow! What do you want us to do?
me; how about fixing the knee?
Doc; it'll be two years before we can get you in surgery.
me; Two years? I can barely walk now!
doc; It amazes me that you can walk!
me; well I have surgery scheduled with Doc Goss next week.
doc; Good! He's one of the best. After surgery you'll need to take calcium to help eliminate the bone spurs.
me; What bone spurs?
doc; the ones we are treating you for and are mentioned in the MRI report.
me; interesting. Now explain this letter from you that I recieved saying there are no bone spurs and I'm not being treated for them.( hand letter to doc)
doc; I didn't write this.
me, nooo sh*t! Figured your assistant did at your request.
doc, yes, that's standard procedure.
me; so you wrote the letter.
doc; wasn't me.
me;
Assistant takes BP and pulse
doc; your BP is a little high.
me; again, nooo sh*t!
doc, are you taking meds for it?
me; read the da*n file!
doc; OK, you are. What are you taking and the dose?
me; read the da*n file!
doc; have you been tested for sugar?
me; read the da*n file!
doc, I see we tested you a year ago but I want to know if your private doctor has tested you recently.
me; no.
doc; with the weight increase you've had in a year I would believe you have atleast some insulin problems.
me; Could it possibly be that since I can't walk without severe pain that it would lead to increased wieght?
doc; not all of it.
me;
doc; I would like to have you tested for sugar. Here's a menu/meal plan to help you eat better.
me; I came here to get care for my knee!
doc; yes but we can't help you there right today and you have it well in hand privately so let's get the BP, diabetes and arthritis taken care of.
me; What arthritis?
doc; the arthritis in your knee causing you pain.
me; what the fuc* are you talking about? The pain is being caused by a torn miniscus and AC ligament.
doc; yes but you have bone spurs and arthritis that's causing some pain as well. It's also in the MRI report.
me; yes, but it states it's being CAUSED by the other damage and will go back to normal when the main problem is fixed.
doc, yes, but we can still treat you seperately for those.
me; Why!!! In a week the surgery will take place and make your treatment mute.
doc; then why did you come here?
me, Wish I knew! Don't worry I won't be back!
doc, yes you will.
me; here's my card, goodbye!
doc; you should keep the card!
me; What for? I won't be using it.( stated as I was walking away)
