;)Had the Computer Lady over and got my PC to work! The meds I've been taking for my sore ankle are working, the rain has stopped and the sun is out! :)What a way to end the year! Didn't make it out to CCC with Rich and his friends from Illinois but heard from Rich that the two guys each got a doe with their bows and missed a large 10 pointer from the Big ladder stand where Chris got his doe in October. Also they filled up one side of the mud hole with two loads of one inch gravel so you probably won't get hung up but its still a 4WD road! Want to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope to see some of ya'll hunting, fishing or visiting!

We may just find out about that in a couple or few weeks Bill. Chris is due home before the middle of Jan was the last word. Matt is talking about heading that way to scout turkey and get Chris a deer if the boy can find one... That one inch gravel should give Matt and Li' Red an even BETTER run at that hill and his tree... ;D Me??? I'll just be sure I bring the video cam this time so I can get it on tape...and as far as my bow and stuff, I'' tote it out on my back instead of watch it fly again.... Matt and I cut out 6 dozen blanks for calls yesterday and I made the pile smaller by a dozen today. Tomorrow, If I feel upto it, I'll thin it down somemore and put the second coat of finish on todays. I finally, made a couple calls out of that cedar log. The tree guys wee through and I had them slice that log up. These are some pretty calls. That is some of the deepest red I've seen in a wood.

You got to seal that red cedar real well Brian. It is a very porous wood. It'll probably muffle the call if it is not sealed well. JM2CW!

I have 2 good coats of finish on them now, probably another coming soon as they get cured good. Your right, the small is FANTASTIC. I took the shavings and saw dust from them and stuck them in a cloth parts bag and tied it up. Kathy says it's a sachete I call it a bg of nice smelling stuff for the closet. But it works. ;D

Phil, if you dry that smelly stuff and put it in little bags, I'll let you send me some to put in my gear pack. Makes great fire starters! 'Course I wouldn't admit to using them if I were cooking someone's vittles on that fire. ;D

We got about four inches, still coming and the weather man threatens dropping temperatures following more snow through Sunday! Man I hope Mike and Faith have some wood laid in!! They got a wood burner to heat the trailer and that is it. Say a or two to keep them warm!

:-X15* again this AM and the snow is still on the ground! At least there is no wind and the sun is out so this snow should go fast. A couple of friends from Wisconsin emailed with the temps they have and this is now SPRING to me! ;D
