;)Spring is finally here to stay, I think! Its been in the high 70's and lo 80's for the past 10 days. Now we need rain! Red buds are in full bloom and the dog woods are starting to bloom! Leaving for Texas to hunt turkeys with TreeTop on Thursday and returning April 3rd. Am looking forward to this hunt and to meeting fellow members from NAHC. Brian, I am taking your calls along when I hunt for Rios and also will use them at CCC on the 14th. Will see you, Matt and Chris then. ;D IT JUST QUIT!! ;D ;D .

???Where did Spring go?? My flowers and my leafed out crepe myrtles sure took a hit from the FROST last nite and another freeze warning out for tonite!! Have a sunburn/tan from my Texas Rio turkey hunt last weekend so this cold snap has sure gotten to me. Treetop and I each got two Toms on the first day and then spent out time riding around this huge ranch taking pictures, and enjoying ourselves...good eats...nice scenery...indian artifacts and lots of game to see. The mule deer bucks still had their headgear on!!??!! Am resting up for our turkey opener next week and then our visit at CCC with Brian and his boys! ;D

:DPhil, at least the chiggers and ticks had to take a break for awhile! ;D :-/We spent 5 days in Texas in snake country and didn't see one rattler! :-/I'm sure not complaining but had "things" to take care of any that I ran across!!

Hate snakes! Did get a tick though. Me and one dog have already had one. They gonna be bad this year if it ever warms back up.

Ticks were out at CCC a month ago and in Kansas too! This cold spell put a halt to them but they will be back soon. My crepe myrtles that were all leaved out took a hit by Jack Frost two nites in a row!! They are black and dried up like tea leaves! Do any of ya'll know if the leaves/flowers will come back this year? Our turkey season opens the 14th so am packing and getting ready to head to CCC on Friday.. Then it will be Brian and the boys reunion! ;D Brian, I will be using one or both of your calls Saturday morning!!! Will keep ya posted on what happens over the week-end.......Bill

:-XPhil, how about stopping over and help me rake up my hay field (lawn) that was cut/mowed yesterday? Spent too much time turkey hunting and let it get out of hand so I had a real beast of a lawn to cut! I'm getting too old for this crap(not turkey hunting)--I mean WORK!! ;D ;D

Mine is about the same. Going to let it dry another day and try to cut tomorrow. My cousin has my rake (hope it still works)

Let it dry enough and they have these things called matches that make the mowing easy.....
