I woke up this morning and it was all cloudy and dim outside...I dressed and got my coffee and went and stood on the back stoop..just taking in the morning air...It hit me, man, I love the smell of mornings..got me to thinking about what else there is out there that I really like...here are some of them
the smell of rain the colors of a sunrise kittens (although most cats aint my favorite people) birds chirping in the trees and bushes the first flakes of winter snow the wisps of smoke from a dieing campfire the smell of coffee waking up next to Girly Girl, no matter what time of day or night my Grand babies voices on the phone... the taste of a fresh picked strawberry after a cool summer shower the call of a loon through an early morning mist the solitude of a moonless night
How 'bout you folks? what gets you your warm and fuzzys?

The smell of the October and November woods
The sound of Mallards and Woodies flying overhead as I stand quietly in the canal and wait for legal shooting light.
The smell of a newly spent shotshell ('specially when it imediately follows legal shooting light!)
Having my Mom and Dad, my cyblings, and their kids all under the same roof for a Holiday.
The smell of ribs, pulled pork, or brisket as I pull them out of the smoker.
The Thanksgiving morning pheasant/ rabbit hunt.
Finding a big ole yeller moral mushroom
And my newest warm and fuzzy.........the atmosphere of the Spring turkey woods.
Damn, aint it good to be alive!

Hardee har har! That would be a bitch wouldn't it? I kneel before the priest and can't get back up? ;D ;D ;D
My warm and fuzzy's?
Puppies
The silence of the morning just before the light comes and the crickets and other morning singers haven't yet waken up.
Children singing when they think noone hears them.
The stock of my grandaddy's old shotgun against my cheek.
Campfires.
Granny's cobbler.
Holidays with my family.
Old veterans who still stand and salute when the flag passes by.
The first gobble of spring.
The smell of orange blossoms in the spring.
Boobies.

In addition to all of those wonderfull sites, smells and sounds which I too enjoy, I think even the smell of smoke from a distance from someones fireplace in the early morning light, even the family dog finding you and busting your post looking to play after you've settled in for about an hour and the wods have totally quited down.....

My very favorite thing is waking up in a tent on a chilly morning and snuggled under my woolie blankets and hearing somebody else stirring up the fire and making coffee then waiting ten minutes and going out for a pee , a wash pan bath with the steam wafting off the pan and your body, then that first cup of hot fresh while the bacon starts to sizzle in the pan. (Preferably with a female companion.)

My new signiture banner!!! Thanks Paws!!!! I also can not forget the smile of the grandbaby as she sees me for the first time in a week or an hour, same to her.... The comraderie of good freinds around a low fire, late in the evening. You know, when everyone is real tired and fighting sleep so they can keep on visiting. The little smiles of babies as they dream. The sound of those gobbles through the hills and sharing the hunt with friends and my boys. And but of course, Miss Kathy...nuff said there
