I have a letter here from General Lee, please read. The letter saddens :'(me and every one in the unit that knows this "GREAT" man
Now, as you may already know, I have retired as General Lee. My health is not good, and I am not able to take the heat. Saturday, I had to go back to the motel as I was about to have an overheating. It got to the place I was seeing blue spots before my Eyes. I have had a wonderful time as GL,and have made some very good friends, Meaning all of you at Mosby' Raders. Please tell the troops thank you & good-bye for me. They are a good bunch. I announced my retirement at Sunday's event. As you folks were down the hill, I was sure that you could not hear me.

Yep, I ain't met the gentleman, but I'd like to. Too bad he's ailing. Any chance he might reprise his role during any cooler weather events? Shame to hear he's having to give up on something he enjoys, but I understand about the heat as it's been putting a whooping on me this year. That picture Phil put up sure does look like the real General Lee standing there too. Lovely lady's as well. Them's some dresses!
