Wile setting in a new stand in a fresh cleared area. Looking down a fence line to a small branch with a small fireing lane going up to about half way up a hill. First a 6 point came into the fireing lane stopped and looked up at the stand then over to my feeder then back up the draw back at the stand Next a forked horn small deer came between the 6 pointer and the branch, stopped look at the 6 point then at the stand then the feeder, back at the 6 point Next the 6 point raised his head and made a light stomp with his left foot at this point the forked went back up the draw only to come out on the other side of the fence came toward the feeder went under the fence over to the feeder looked back at the 6 point then proceed to eat some corn, Next a nice 8 point came into view behind the 6 point and observed the fork never looking at the stand, raised his head up about 3 inches and the forked stopped eating retraced his steps only he jumped the fence and come out by the 6 point Now the 6 point had been in the same spot for a good 10 minuets or more. Next the 6 point takes a whiff of the forked mouth and looked back at the 8 point who nodded his head stomped his right foot and walked up the hill. Now the 6 point flowed suite and took the lead again The forked looked back at the feeder then took to the hills of the other Now they never said a word but they sure talked to one another

Our bow season opens tomorrow, 6 SEP 08, but as usual it is too hot. We can stick deer and turkey from now until mid January. Anyway, tomorrow I am going on a Boy Scout bike ride with my boys and the troop. It is part of their Cycling merit badge. We ride 25 miles. The next ride and the last is at the end of the month. They have to ride 50 miles then.

It wasn't that bad. Of course after the 15 mile ride I made with them a month or so ago I bought a better seat than the narrow one that came with the bike.

I hav been thinking that the little seats we use on the front casting deck of a bassboat would be the best kind to use.
