Well, to me it is a religious matter. Slowly, but surely, we've been seeing the dismantling and discrediting of the Christian churches and the distance is growing farther and wider between the scriptures and the congregation who shows up on Sunday to hear about them. The incredible growth and mainstream acceptance of Islam. No sir, it's all about religion. Obama will herald a whole new era of Islamic growth and the decline of Christianity. A herald to the anti-christ is right! We're at the beginning of the end...why else you think I study Brother Freddies preaching so much during the week. I don't wanna get left behind!

Toby, This is exactly why I hate to discuss religious issues! I have made no secret that I am Catholic. Do I believe in God,absolutely. Do I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, of course. Do I believe that what I believe is the only way to get to Heaven, not hardly!! That thinking would eliminate a lot of Jewish people, including Jesus,Moses and any other number of religious Jewish folks! In the very near future Obama's social issues will be the problem not his religious issues. But, that being established, look out. If you are looking for an anti-Christ,look for his wife to sprout horns, before he does. She is a very dangerous person!!!!!Jane Fonda with a tan.IMO snake-eyes

Snake Eyes.
I understand your frustration with religious discussion. I also understand your concern for those who are “outside” the Christian faith. However, I must state that either Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of the Only True and Living God and the Messiah/Savior or He is not. Not only that, but, if He is the Son of God, He does not need to be saved. Therefore, He cannot be left out of getting to Heaven because that’s where He’s from. Now, having said that, I am listing a group of questions here, that I would be more than willing to answer IF REQUESTED. I will not answer these, if not requested to do so. Remember this: My “religion” (Baptist) and yours (Catholicism) will never get anyone to Heaven. If that were possible, then Jesus would not have had to come and give His life and we could all go to Heaven by practicing religion. Personally, I am convinced that religions are man-made, but The Lord Jesus Christ and faith in Him is not man-made. So here are some questions about faith, Salvation and the means thereof. If you want my convictions of these, I would be glad to offer them. If not, you will not offend me in any way. Remember this: the answers to all questions are based on what one believes. However, WE DARE NOT BE WRONG. Because, if we’re wrong, we will not make it Heaven one day. God bless you and I am on your side!
1. What is the Authority for our Christian Faith?
2. Which God is God?
3. How were Old Testament people saved, including Noah, Moses, Abraham, and the anyone in the nation of Israel (Jews) etc?
4. How were New Testament people saved when Jesus was on this earth?
5. How are people saved today?
6. What makes Jesus Christ unique among men and prophets and even leaders of religion?
7. Did all people on earth know of God at one time? If so, then what happened to cause there to be people today who seemingly know nothing of the Only True and Living God.
These are just a few questions I have posed. Again, if you would like them answered, please ask. If not, it will not offend me in any way. I don’t do these things for personal gain, including feeding ego. I do these things because I am convinced that most of the world religions are in error. We may not always agree, but we can disagree agreeably. God bless!

I'll ask, Jerry, but I'd just as soon address these questions in the OCC Chapel.
Snake, I'm not looking for the anti-christ. I'm not even sure I'm s'posed to.
Obama's social issues will detract people from their personal responsibilities and set the stage for the furtherment of the Islamic faith.
Socialism will eventually win out in this country and bring on the collapse of what has been the greatest country the world has ever known, but it's not all economics alone. It's the way we live and the way we live is a direct reflection on our personal beliefs.
This country was founded by Christians. And by our religious apathy, our country can certainly be destroyed by Muslims.

It sure look like it's headed that way unless the "silent majority" don't step up and be counted.

Thanks Phil,
I am going to open a new post in the OCC Chapel and give my convictions on these questions. Anyone interested can look there. I surely never intend to offend anyone. I would also like a discussion sometime on the Anti-Christ. I think there are a number of misconceptions out there about that entity. Anyone interested, let us know.

Yep! I spotted the new thread. It was a good un too! ;D McCain's campaign manager was saying today on the news that all is not lost and things are looking better than ever. The leftist media paints such a doom and gloom picture for the epublican nominee, but he said the truth is, the race is much much closer than it appears and they're expecting record turnouts among middle-class working Christians. Who knows, I'll just be sure to be at the poll early and pray!
