I still do not know if this will work but at least now I can type in the text box! Been pure hell on this thing the past week. I could see everything at the worst but had no way to put anything in. Started slowly losing capability about two weeks ago. Multiple program failures, memeory excesses, dropped connections, and a bunch of "auto updates" running through the Juno Turbo link. I still do not know if I can send mail or even read it yet. Just now got this back to where I can enter text. If this updates to the server ah and is visible to you, know this: Pull up your "Internet options" box and click on Connections tab, if you have a "Auto connect to Proxy server" and you do not operate as a remote device and the box is checked, uncheck it and be suspicious of all operating programs. Do a virus scan and if somebody , friend etc has been fiddling with your terminal who is sharp enough to set your system up as a slave, kick his/her ass. OK, cause I have a feeling.... and will update you if it bears out. (and of course if this thing actually is working at specs.) OK, I'm fixin to push the button so cross your fingers. If this works I'll try to be back on today after I check the mail thing and see if it is fixed also by what I just told you about. Have made numerous other alterations as well and will update you later if at all possible. So here is hoping this is not a temporary or fluke access instant....

Well I see this did load so at least that much is working for now. I still can not open, read, compose or send mail. For right now since my mailbox is loaded up please suspend your email to me. Use PMs or posts here instead, and I do not know how long I will be able to make this work. What got me suspicious of a "hijacker" was the fact that the proxy server box on my options was checked and that I had deleted all of my cookies to reset them but when I booted the system, Juno logged on without asking me to log in there should be no identification cookie there, as there are absolutely no temporary files remaining in my computer but my mail box is still being listed with all the mail titles, etc... Sooooo, somehow the system or somebody is recognized and given access to my mailbox. Got to be a cookie somewhere! If I can not resolve this with Juno and get a fix then I am either going to drop them completely or if I do end up believing the problem is with this computer than scrap it and start using the library for access until I can replace this system. If as I believe a friend has added a program to enslave this device I'll probably end up scrapping it because I am sure his motives were not altruistic. (Thanks a whole hell of a lot H. Wayne Burns); not that I'm accusing you, you bastard! I get solid proof you one in trouble ex-gyrene partner!!

So does this mean that you are your own grandpa??? ;D It could be! The plot thickens!! Hey, thanks for helping out here to you and Jerry for watching out for newbies and birthdays and such. Please hang in there a few more days in case I should lose this site access again. Lord knows what happens when I start pounding my fist on the table here. If this is innocent I'm afraid that somebody is going to have to show/and or convince me of it.

;D Would not surprise me partner. Tell you what as we move along here so if any of you other guys use Juno or United you can have a track record of this mess and maybe help out yourselves one day. I finally managed to open and review my mail last night by shutting down the "Turbo" or acceleration emulation cache and bypassing the "Global Polling" feature which builds the cache. I figured that since the error code 17 which kept preventing me access was "Turbo" related that maybe...., and it did. Here is the process: 1) Open the Turbo toolbar and select "Shut Down Turbo" 2) Hit Alt, Ctrl, and Del simultaneously 3) Select or highlight (Error) and click on "End Program" This allowed me to open my mail (which I had not been able to do for eight days) and to send mail (which I had not been able to do on demand for 10 days) So I was able to finally read the Juno lcorrection procedures sent to me more than a week ago after initially contacting them about problems with the system. Since I had already performed all of their procedures I replied and included the symptoms and reaction of the Code 17 error and loss of e-mail and Turbo. I just received by e-mail a new "set up" file presumably complete and was instructed to perform a "Total removal" of the entire Juno and Turbo program functions and to then install the new package. My intent is to follow these instructions in the next few minutes and if successful I will advise. If I can not advise, and please hang in there and continue your support here as I will be back as soon as possible one way or another. Might be a few days though. Continue to suspend e-mail to me at least for the time being until further notice.

Rebuild is finished and appears to be working. So far so good! While deleting old Juno files I did indeed discover files dated 2003 through 2005 labeled as temporary text and program files within the Juno program that should have been deleted each and;or every time the cache was changed or deleted which has been done many many times. For some reason they simply updated themselves and replicated and moved forward with the revisions. I advised Juno of the disparity beyweeen the IPAs and am awaiting their response now. Might get real interesting. Thanks all for putting up with this. Please continue to hang in there until I am confident this has been resolved. I'm thinking any potential attack is personal and came directly at me with intent and probably originated here on my keyboard so I am not concerned with the potential for any security with board members. Stay alert anyway though just in case.

Check this out! Dear Juno Member, Thank you for contacting the Juno Help Center. I am glad to hear that the issue has been resolved. In order to assist you regarding the IP Address, your message has been escalated to a senior technician and we will get back to you shortly. Thanks for your patience. Sincerely, Alex Clifford Juno Customer Care www.juno.com/support ----Replied Message---- From: "pawclaws1@juno.com" <pawclaws1@juno.com> To: help@support.juno.com Date: Mon, 24 Nov 2008 11:28:22 GMT Subject: Re:Re:Juno QS PAT - TS-AE05 --> Ref #[1MG120q5fO23V1vCAA] >Thanks much. This procedure appears to resolved the issue. I appreciate the help. Now, while attempting to resolve this on my own I discovered something a bit peculiar. The IPA I generate using your services is 4.253.113.254 which the Sam Spade Program identifies as Level III Communications rather than Juno or United. Are you folk affiliated with Level III or is there a possibility my computer is being hijacked as a slave? Man Juno going to help check it out!

Still having problems. Got a damned program trying to load an active X control into the system I can not find. It says it is an Adobe Flash Player Update but I do not trust it. I found several files identified only with a numeric indicator of some sort and no information about what the file contains. Many of these were Program and Execution files for other programs that are not visible. Anyway I got access to mail and internet even if it is aggravating.
