Not to sound like a smartass but with your skills you could make one in short order. I have a model 88, my first gun, and it doesn't look like it would be a hard project though if one could be found a few bucks would be better then the effort. I'm lazy! If you had a piece of hickory from your woods you'd have a better looking forearm then the original!

I ain't lazy. Just have too much to do already. I would make one, 'cept back when we were doing all our moving around, all the tools were sold for gas/hotel money. I'm lucky to still have a screwdriver, hammer and drill....make that table knife, rock and pointy stick. ;D

What's wrong with the old one? If it's busted, cracked, ect. and you have it then I'll be happy to make you another one if you send me the one you have to copy from.
I have a parts place looking for one. I'll let you know if they find one.

Knowing Uncle Jim and the way he did his repair work I'd bet it was removed and either a replacement ordered or planned for manufacture. Faith is that a single shot breakdown? Shortly here after Christmas you and Eloise jump in something with it and that black powder pistol she has and head down to McConnelsville to the Reynolds. Have Bruce make a forearm for the thing; he has the tools. He can get a look at that revolver and make up his mind. I'll buy your gas and lunch and you two can spend the day BSing and telling lies on me!

Is it the snap on type(most likely) or bolt on? Assuming it's the snap on that would explain why it was not replaced since making it at home would be near impossible without knowing how to make the metal components.
That being said, a bolt on can be made and I cannot locate a replacement for it. A snap on would be very difficult to make but I found one and can send it to Paws in short order.

Mars I just talked to Faith and it sounds like it is a snap on. Anyway she said there is a metal clamp on the tube with two small holes for screws in the bottom and it looks like someone tried to force the screws and split the stock from the hinge on down. I asked if she placed a flat bladed screwdriver under the metal clamp if she could pop it off the tube. She replied in the afirmative. Send it on with the bill partner and we'll take care of it or hold it for Faith's mailing address. and for being a good neighbor. Mr Rogers would be proud of you!

I ordered the snap on type. It didn't allow me to have a different shipping address then my billing address so it will come to me first unless they answer my request to change the address.
Sounds like the spacer, the plastic part between the stock and the hinge that is held onto the stock with two screws, was screwed on to tight and cracked or different screws were used and were too big. I'm assuming the spacer is now missing.

Gee whiz! You fellers have been busy today! Yep it's a snap on. Appears that the screws stipped out at some point and was repaired with wood filler. Then the screws were overtightened when it was reassembled. All the metal components are intact. ;)Your such a sweetie. But that's just going plain overboard. Send me a copy of the bill and I'll at least make payments. That's an order!!

I'm not in the Army anymore so orders don't mean much. I'm just getting in practice. Plan to have my daughter go enlist in the next week or so. An 18 year old with no job, no education, no self-respect, no dicipline, and no ambition and that acts like she's 9 going on 30 is wearing thin on our patience.

Looked good to me Mars . She brought the shotgun when I rurned it over to her and it looked proper although we didn't install it. The old part had the screws to the snap stripped out and it had a wood puty fix once applied that failed. Looked like it was then set up with the clamp affixed to the tube first then the forearm "forced" on, maybe even glued to the clamp cracking the front end of the stock. Duh! Wait a minute; she's a woman! It must have worked or else she would be 'in!

Sorry I haven't gotten back with you Mars. I've had my head busy on so many projects lately, I'm ready for a long vacation in the woods somewhere. Oh wait, I am in the woods. Still haven't managed to turn any trees into rough sawn lumber by pounding my head against them. Guess I'm gonna have to hire someone with a portable mill. The forend fit fine. You're an angel. When it warms up outside, I'll get it stained to match the old wood.
