In North Carolina they have been looking into changing the dates in hunting deer. Because of the deer population. That means that bow hunters won't get 3 months of bow. And muzzle loader will come in alot earlier. And gun will come in alot earlier. But I read alot of Biologist journals and I understand what they are saying. If muzzle and guncome in early and the rut comes in later then the big bucks won't get to mate..But the deer population is outragous. What do ya'll think... Thanks

I think it's a good idea to open the season early if population managment is their ultimate goal. SC opens in August as does S. Fl for that same purpose and it hasn't negatively impacted the trophy quality of the whitetails in either state.
