Pasta salad is made and marinating in fridge. Also have burgers, smoked sausage, buns, maters, onions & condiments, baked beans, sliced cheese, pop, and maybe strawberry shortcake.
Could use some coolwhip or niller ice cream for the shortcakes.
Oh shoot, I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer.

We all wondered if you didn't take a wrong exit off 270 and ended up in Elyria. There'll be a next time.
We had a great time. Wish it was a little cooler out, but at least it didn't rain. At one point there was 12 brats, 9 chix leg quaters, 24 burger paties, a 15" skillet with 12 BIG biscuits, and a gallon of baked beans on the grill...all at one time! Top all that off with pasta salad, cheese, veggies, chips, watermelon, peanut butter pudding, strawberries, and suds of all types.
Headcount was around 22. I suppose everyone got home OK. Have not heard from them all yet.
Spent most of yesterday in the horizontal position. Between over-eating, too much sun (my shoulders and bossoms are fried), cooling off too fast afterwards, poison ivy (all over), and smoke inhalation from tending the grill, I didn't roll out of the recliner until 7pm Sunday.
No pics yet. I've gotta wait until later in the week to develope the cameras.

I must be getting old. I don't know which I want to hear more about, the grilled brats or the burned bosoms...

Faith, Trust me I have been to Elyria, and I would never make that mistake(again). There was definitely a mistake made, but it was in my small Irish head, not in the directions I was given. I am just glad I caught the mistake,or I would have been very hungry, showing up next Saturday.Besides, Deuce, biting me and listening to Mrs Snake all the way back home. It would be revenge on my brain at the highest level. I am glad you all had a good time, which is pretty much a given. To hear of your sunburn and poison ivy problems! Just can't imagine both problems at the same time Wow,if I were Mike I would be sleeping on the front porch! Myself and poison ivy are not allowed in the same neighborhood. Just looking at someone that has it,and I break out snake-eyes

Speaking of poison ivy. We have it all around us. It doesn't seem to bother me much, but it does some of the family. One daughter and granddaughter can just look at it and it will be all over them.
As stated above, glad you had a good time, but sorry about the sunburn and poison ivy.

Sunburn is gone. But was still dead to the world through most of Tuesday. Poison ivy is still with me. As is a bad case of poison oak and sumac. Youngest has the sumac on his arms too.
Just finished off all the leftovers this morning. 'Cept the second watermelon. Mike was working on it when I left the house.
We're talking about making this an anual event. Maybe without the itches though.

Well it's only been 3 months since our GT, but I finally got the film developed. Heck, I still have 3 rolls from last winters ice storm that need taken in. Anyways.......... Here's what you missed. Welcome! Mama Faith on cooking duty. Thermometer in shade on the porch read 93 degrees. Imagine how warm it was around that fire! I spent the whole day there! Remind me not to wear spandex stretch jeans near the fire again. This site is located about 100 feet from the left of the house. "Uncle" Phil with one of the cameras, "cousin" Bruce guarding the cooler of PBR, Mike standing in the center telling all the kids to go play horseshoes in the back yard, and all his siblings, nieces, nephews, dad, and cousins. We had around 30 folks there. Some more of the kin. You can see we have plenty of parking room. Could probably fit 25 vehicles in the driveway, alone. Even when we aren't having a GT, I'm still out there. This was just for a small campout the boys had.
