Well I finally did it as a hobby of course, but who knows what can happen ,its the best I've tasted since I left Brooklyn NY for the wilds of Connecticut......This first attempt was made from a kit from the Sausagemaker.com out of Buffalo NY........ The next batch will come from an old Polish cook book my wifes family has had for years.......That will come after Easter, when I'll also try other styles of Polish meats... ;D ;D ;D

Way to go Steve! ;D Sausagemaker is a good site. Also check out Othmar for the German site we frequented. Tons of great recipes from every nation are out there. You better hurry though; I don't think this world will stand long enough to try many of them.

Thats a good idea Phil, I just forgot about that site even though it stares me in the face every day I come to OCC......I've been wanting to do this for years and the opportunity just arose.......It seems once I left NY to Connecticut, I lost all contact with the foods I loved from Brookyn NY.....In Bklyn there is a neighborhood called Green Point and they have a huge Polish and slavic group there, with stores all over the place....Next to Green point is Williamsburg where there are a lot of Butchers Meat Packing Places) ....So Con and I would take a trip down there on weekends and come home with a side of beef as well as an assortment of Polish products........THe car would be permiated with all the smells eminating from the trunk,so we'd have a pound or two of polish sausage cut just to stay in the front seat, and we'd munch all the way home.....
