We're all fine here. Power's still on, 6th pot of coffee's on and mush is frying. Boots, coats, hats, and jeans are drying on the back of the chairs. Got about a foot of snow here. We're thawing out after a morning of tramping the woods for the heifer. Found her 2 miles and 3 hollers up the road. Chased her all over the Wayne until we got her home. As far as I know, Martin ended up stranded at his buddies for the weekend.

So is she at home or staying with someone? Power is back on. AEP Makes a special effort for old, decrepit people you know! My butt is dragging. Man that clean-up walking in that stuff is a real bummer. I'll bet Faith and Mike are dogged out after tracking down that cow too.

From reports here I must be about the only one in the county with power.

Athens reported four inches but my Stanley hand held measuring device said eight to fourteen inches with the modal tendency being eight inches, the average being eight, and it's a "real good" hand held measuring device.

Getting braced for the next round. Plenty of lamp oil and hopefully enough kerosene. Snow (on top of what we still have from the weekend), then rain/freezing rain, and more snow. Bread is in the makes. Still have plenty of stuff in jars. Got flour and grease. If the hens keep doing their job, we're set for the long haul. Have battery backup for the laptop and phones. Should power go out, my phone is reserved for the computer use. Mike's is 541-3511.

Man I hope I didn't give away that cookbook that had the recipe for a cake made out potato chips and rootbeer. You could really stretch them out. I remember you use chips in place of most the flour and oil. Root beer in place of sugar and water. Add a couple hen fruit and just a little bp and bake. Need anything give a shout. Not promising we'll be able to get off the hill until Thursday. But, let us know anyways and we'll see what we can do for you.

Well it is here! Earlier it was like "frozen fog". Now the road and vehicles are white again. Visibility under a hundred yards and 22 degrees and dropping.

Well just about everything in Franklin County has been canceled for today. Course going to work at 8 at night, they will do a great job to see that the rush crowd home between 5&6 are taken care of.Which means if I can get off my court,I will most likely be able to get to work.
