Way too cold! Thirteen for a high so far this morning. It is still snowing. All my tracks are filled and the vehicles need cleaned off. Afraid the driveway is impassable by my little chines. Birdies are chowing down on my feeders. I'm going to walk over to the slaughter house later and get some suet to make up some cakes for them. Probably to take an hour to walk two miles.

It rolled in here with high winds about 10pm last night and this morning the schools are closed as was the stretch of I-81 going through the county. Not a whole lot moving at this time.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!! It's going to dip below freezing tonight! I hate cold weather; anything under fifty is killer to me. No rain or snow, but I hope the freeze doesn't last long.
The gras in the pastures was just sprouting green and looking good. I hope it doesn't die back again.

It got all the way up to 28 degrees today here. Factor in a gusty 20-30 mph wind and the 'feel like' temp was 12 o to 15 o. Our NOAA forecast (centered to our home)... forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.83750140309922&lon=-82.59238243103027&site=rlx&smap=1&marine=0&unit=0&lg=enLocal news forecast says snow clear through next week. Might get interesting driving Mike back to the boat. Guess we here in Ohio shouldn't complain. We could be out in MD, NJ, MA, DC, or NYC. Really feeling for those folks. Heard one place already has 48 inches on the ground with another 24 expected tomorrow.

Alexandria Virginia/Oxon Hill MD and Washington DC 71 when the kids hunted for Easter eggs in the snow banks! Watertown NY when snow was six inches deep horizontally on the road signs!

Anybody heard from SnakeEyes this morning? I guess they really got hammerd with this snow. Got an email from USJersey which is in Reynoldsburg and the office is closed until staff can safely travel. Mike's crew change has been delayed until at least Thursday for the same reason. God bless whoever it was that plowed our driveway a little bit ago. ;D

Find out what shape the roads are from Ironton on into South Point. We're heading down to McGinnis (by the police station) whenever crew change gets rescheduled.

The schools were closed here and on a 2 hour delay for tomorrow at this time. They have been out so much I think they are on summer break except the temps in the teens and the snow keep them inside.

We got about 2 more inches ealier today. Since dark, another inch has fallen.
School is closed tomorrow. No suprise!! According to my calendar, since January 4th (first day back from a 10-day Christmas Break), out of a possible 33 school days (M-F) our schools have only had 19 full days of classes plus 3 days that were on 2-hr delays. Including Christmas Break, that's 24 days where there's been no school since Dec. 21st.

They closed the schools after an inch of snow fell overnight. There is another snow storm forecast for tomorrow so I doubt they will be in school this week. Good bye spring break.

The boys came by this morning and shoveled the drive again. This time it took less than an hour. Still snowing lightly but the roads look clear, the drive is good and they did the foot paths and porch as well. This might be getting under control now.

Not quite sure how much snow we got last night. But yesterday in the footpaths it was almost up to my ankles and this morning, it was past and rolling down inside my 12" boots. Last night I swept porch off. This morning there was 3" snow under the porch roof clear up to the door.
