A buddy of mine just gave me a couple of cases of eggbeaters. Any ideas what to do to make 'em taste like eggs???

Toby, My suggestion, beat the hell out them(Don't let your chickens see you do it though) Seriously, use them like any other egg. Don't look good sunny side up though

Aww Toby they ain't that bad. Mix them up with fresh about three for one and scramble them. Or, maybe the chickens will eat them!

If'n you want to use them for breakfast, salt & pepper the heck out of 'em and throw in some peppers, cheese and bacon or sausage. Could even make a quiche with them or some batter for fish or onion rings.
Otherwise, I'd be getting Granny busy making some cookies, donuts, pudding or custard.

Nothing goes to waste around here, so the kids had omellettes..sorta. I haven't tried them yet. My only experiences with eggbeaters was that they didn't taste at all like eggs oughtta!
Faith, no quiche! Real men don't eat quiche...I'd be too scared the Duke would come up outta his grave and shoot me!
Since they started letting all the chickens run free all but four hens have been kilt or disppeared and assumed kilt. Got a FAT looking hawk hanging around now, lol. So, the beaters were welcome.
Same guy's been giving me truckbed loads of day old breads, doughnuts, bagels, tortilla's, and dinner rolls to feed the critters. We pick through them first and put enough in the freezer to hold us through the week, lol.
Between that, the produce stands, and now the eggbeaters. The grocery bill has really taken a dive! ;D ;D ;D

Eggbeaters are not much more then the egg whites and food coloring so they can be used anywhere eggs or egg whites are called for and unless they are spoiled they should taste exactly like egg whites.

Yep, I'm getting used to them, but I miss the yolk, it had the most egg flavor. Made an omelette this morning with red and gree bell peppers, chopped up some leftover ham, and a hit it with a little salt and blk pepper, then melted some Velveta on top.
It filled me up and topped off with a half dozen cups of coffee, I felt pretty good when I left the house! ;D

You have a cholesterol problem there young man? Latest news is that eggs do not bother one's cholesterol as once was thought. Glad to hear you have come to terms with the product though. If you have the space you can freeze those suckers for long term storage too. Might be a matter of convenience to you.

We put a bunch in the freezer and the rest in the fridge and everybody's been eating them. We go through a LOT of eggs around here, so it's been a welcome gift. I'm the only one that gripes that it doesn't taste like eggs ought to taste, but they're still good. Nope, no cholesterol problems as far as I know. It's been a couple of years since I was checked, but it was right around 200 then.

Koot, Friend I am with you! I eat all the eggs I care to eat, maybe 1/2 dozen every week or so. I for the most part use nothing but real butter. My B/P is managed. My cholesterol is fine, as is my B/P. My Dr says I just have inherited good genes. Considering I have smoked for 50+ years and drank heavily for 30+,I would have to say there is something to this gene thing. But who really knows....When it's your time,it's your time! I could be gone tonight...or posting here for another 20years! I hope, if that is the case, you are all still here, reading my post. Including those that have not entirely agreed with or even liked me. I will just leave it at that!

You know you boys just might have a clue as to the potential for control there. First it was tobacco, then coffee, then cocoa, then liquor, oil.... and now the whole damned USA cowtows to the purse strings of a couple dozen families. Anything for a buck without limits!~

Lets think about one thing.....If society doesn't know what something is, that's killing people, they call it cancer....If they don't know whats itching your eyes or causing blotch's on your skin, you have an allergy....So these are two vague conclusions....My claim to fame was to cut my carbs a lot, meaning, no potato's,rice, and pasta....Then I went to these sources in moderation and my diet still worked.....I could argue these points with anyone, and I think Phil and I filled many paragraphs on the subject when OCC was in its infancy....One has to realize, that these foods were put on this earth by whatever God you pray to.....There are also weakness's in some that make it impossible for some to eat these foods....This is part of nature....I think there would be quite an uproar, if you take the eggs ,pork, beef, fowl and whatever else we love to eat from this earth.....

These things were created and placed on this Earth by "I Am", and no other god that anyone prays to! Over in Reedsville where they are cleaning and fixing up from the tornado Sharon tells me they are cooking hogs in pits and in grills for the workers. At one time, BC through Now, pork would be frowned upon! Oh yeah, they are cooking at the church.

Pork at the churches! Yumm, yumm, yumm!!!!! ;D
Snake, it might be good genes, but it might just be that God ain't ready for ya and the Devil's scared your ornery butt will try to take over, lol.
Whatever it is....keep on keeping on. You know, my Granny smoked or over sixty years an donbly quit about eight years ago because she got mad at how expensive they were getting, lol. She's 88 now and ate eggs for breakfast everyday of her life and refuses to eat margarine too. Her red meat and fresh vegetable diet has crought her along nicely. That and caffeine...she drinks more coffee than I do! ;D

Toby, Taking over in hell might just be a good thing....As govenor of hell! The first thing I would do is surrender to my God!!! Now you talk about something that would PO the devil, that just might do him in! John
