Kathy is having some severe eye problems. She is legally blind in her left eye and is now having problems with her right eye. The real cause is unknown but the problem is untreatable. It is called anterior ischemic optic neropathy. (She is not getting enough blood to her optic nerve.) The condition can stay the same, improve or get worse. It seldom results in total blindness, so, even though her vision is impaired, she should be able to function. We are having more tests to verify the prognosis.
Thanks in advance for the prayers.

Kathy was in the hospital for several days last week. The did a biopsy on her temporal arteries, along with multiple other tests. She is now at home and doing fine except for no improvement in her eyesight. They surprised us and released her from the hospital late Saturday. We got home at about 10:30 pm. Two of the doctors feel that her eyesight will improve over time.
One thing not affecting her eyesight that showed up in one of her tests was a lesion in her head. They will schedule what is called an MR Spectroscopy to check it out. She also has a follow-up with the Peripheral Vascular Surgeon soon.
Thanks again for all the concern and prayers. We will keep you informed.
By the way, Kathy was prayed for today as well as in church yesterday.

;D Glad the prognosis sounds promising. Give it time and keep it in prayer Jerry. I'm expecting one miracle after another coming really soon.

Thanks for the update Jerry. I went to prayer meeting Monday morning and John, without me asking, prayed for "whatever" might be wrong in my body. My back was acheing and that stopped immediately. This morning I awoke and realized I slept a full night without rising. My legs had been cramping up for the past week and they stopped it Monday night and I only realized it this morning. Kind of sneaked up on me there. So don't give up.

My prayers are still with her Jerry! No improvement is always better than a worsening! His will be done; I pray it is His will to heal her quickly!

Good news!!!!
Kathy's sight has improved. She can now see the digital clock on the stove as well as large things. Sight is still shadowy and blurry, but this is a marked improvement. We are still hoping and praying for more healing.
She continues with a number of appointments, but they are slowing down somewhat.
Thanks for the concern and prayers.
