I see what you mean about the "Foot Soldier" versus the "Riding" pants. So I ordered you the "Foot Soldier" in Cadet Grey with a 44 inch waist. They did not offer an inseam without using the sizing chart. I ordered the red piping stripe on the trouser. I did not order a shirt. Tell Peg she needs to deck you out with either a red or a white silk dress shirt for parties and the same in cotten for the battlefield. Either color will look great with or without the jacket and a bow tie. I don't know what you have on hand. Is "Officer Wool" worsted or hardened wool? Blockade Runner did not make a distinction but did distinguish between officer and enlisted garments so the cloth difference is probably already considered. If you can handle it, the shell jacket would look terrific with a sword. The Lt Colonel sash is said to be buff in color though so I did not order one. It is buff silk and in my opinion the color should have been geared to the branch rather than the rank held. Your call, but I do not care for the buff in combination with the red and the grey. Maybe it would look OK with a white dress shirt though; or even a buff one if it can be found in silk. On second thought with white gloves the buff sash along with a white dress shirt in silk might look pretty snazzy; but the gloves are a must if the sash were worn.

Dear Santa, Either you get me what I want for Christmas, or Dasher and Dancer are next! Make it happen!

Santa, When you're in my neck of the woods on Christmas Eve, stop by and pick up a couple scoops of sweet feed and a bale of hay for when you have to make that return trip here on the 28th. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that's just the way our schedule "floats" this year.
