Hey Bruce, what size are the rounds? I got a new cannister similar to Pringles but a tad bigger with a 2.75" ID and about 6" tall. Also, have you seen about the Reynoldsburg deal in June? Morgan's Raid at Racine is scheduled for 2013 and will have 300 cavalry and move the encampment daily via the original route. Part of it will take place on Sharon's farm near where she ws raised.

Number :)1. what size are the rounds? answerI use pringle cans to store the rounds. The tin foil for the rounds are rolled on what was once the Feildmarshall's "ROLLING PIN"(She's still not happy about that,it was brand new) As for the rest,do you have the info so I can find out more about it Thanks.

"Rattlesnake" is the old "Elephant" brand I am told. I don't think they make a cannon grade, at least it is not listed at Powder Inc. I feed infantry so we get it in 3f and 2f grades. Powder Inc. sells the Goex cannon powder though.

I will save these cannisters for you then. I have three of them and they should work really well. They are from Aldi's beef sticks. If you will get your butt on facebook I'll link you up to a bunch of CW re-enactors including your old buddy Richard!~ I understand that Burns Battery is one of the sponsors of the Reynoldsburg event. Not much out on the Racine thing yet but they are already in the planning process. It should be a real humdinger! ;D I still do not have a baby sitter available and funds are iffy but I'm working on it. Priority is your gun powder.

Find a baby-sitter and gather your nickels and get yer crusty arse back in uniform! Reading about cannon powder etc... What do you use, just Goex cannon grade? I read where some guys use F and even FF just for blanks. It isn't but a dollar a pound cheaper, but want to be sure to order the right stuff you're accustomed to firing.

Thanks for saving them ,if your "OLD" buddy Richard is one of the sponsors we don't have a chance, they don't want us in McConnelsville :' ( this year, shoot they had ALL the cannons pre-regersted by Sunday of LAST years battle. There president,my cousin said they didn't have any more bounty or powder for anyone else. You would think they would take care of the "Home" Boys first, seeing as how I have been doing this longer than Richard. Enough about that(thanks for letting me blow up everyone) I have a facebook account under brcreynolds Toby,I have mixed it all together to make rounds,my old Captain gave me some powder once for the old flash camera,I mixed it and made a nice "BOOM" ( It was only 10 years old though. I would rather use cannon grade though as it takes less per round, and we use 4 oz per round,so 1 lb gives you 4 rounds. New news, I am now learning to walk with 1 cane (I have 2nd one close) it's slow but coming along. Well got to go done burnt you guys eyes up enough.

I got a couple of prospects who might sacrifice themselves to care for the critters a week-end and I got a can of pocket change that might have close to a hundred bucks in it!

That works for me! Why drag it out to the field if you don't have to. Cross "X" the swab and worm in front of it and let her set! ;D

I had to go back up and catch up on all this. That's absolutely super to hear!!! ;D
Sorry to hear you won't have the cannon on the field at McConnelsville. I like Paws idea of taking her just for exhibitional protest though.
Double check that facebook account name. I've sent the scouts out, but still can't find you there.
