What are you all having for Easter dinner? I will be going to dinner at my daughters home. Ham,green bean casserole, Au cratin taters, cheese covered asparagus dish.Pecan and apple pie. But Paws you will love this,my two ex-wives will be there. I have always avoided these type get togethers because I thought they would make Linda uncomfortable.Although she has met them at different times. My first wife is my daughters mother. My second wife is my sons mother. My other two daughters are my second wife's that I raised, adopted and the only dad they know. Should be very interesting....My daughter and Linda are very close, and she knows I will leave in a second if Linda is shown any disrespect by anyone.

I wish you the best that Day. You ought to practice a toast; something deeply intense and religeous that'll make everybody say "ahhhhhh"! Oh, and carry a hand grenade just in case.

Got a feeling that my repast will be something simple and easy maybe rib eyes on the grill ...just Girly Girl and I...We will be making some canadian bacon this weekend...about a 10# whole loin halved and set to brine in about 2 hours from now..brine for 36-40 hours then allowed to dry age in the fridge for a day then into the smoker for a cold smoke of about 6 hours...plan on frying up the fist batch for brunch Easter Morning....

Rather unorthodox TT, but it all sounds good to me.... We'll have a traditional Polish (My wife) style breakfast with my home made kielbasa ,hard boiled eggs , coffee and horseradish for the kielbasa... Dinner will be ham, mashed tators, salads, and mixed berry pie... ;D

I wish all of you a Happy Easter and hope that Easter Dinner is special for ya! I'm not sure what's going to happen with our bunch; there'll be a gathering, but due to illnesses I'm not sure who'll make it nor where it'll be held. It's certain that wherever we gather, there'll be plenty good food to go around!

Seems like our families quit doing big holiday meals when us kids all moved out and married. Thanksgiving is the only big feed of the year. Usually we have a big breakfast at church after Sunrise Service....Eggs, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, pancakes, OJ, coffee....Usually eat so much we don't want to eat when we get home.
Not sure who, if anyone, will be here on Easter other than Mike and me. Guess we could invite the new neighbors. I picked up one of those cheap Cumberland Gap hams and have the fixin's for either macaroni or potato salad. Also have several dozen pullet eggs that mom sent with lil' brother a while back. So maybe some egg salad. Plenty of green beens and beets in the pantry. Also have lots of strawberries and rhubarb in the freezer. So there's possibilites of a pie there. Just don't know what, or how much, to fix.
