Loose but some of us; ergo, Sharon, me, Teela, maybe Eloise, Jim, Maria, and Bernice are going to do a tailgate whereever there might be room for a grill and a table. Sharon is doing potato salad and deviled eggs, I'm doing K-Bobs, lumpia and fried rice, the rest have yet to check in. We got several spots in mind but nothing firm. Anybody else that is loose with no plans grab a bag of chips or something and give me a shout so we'll know where to convoy up. Faith I didn't ask you on purpose cause I figured you had plans with the family. If you are stag come join us. Toby if you come leave that phony tittied girl at home I don't want to be staring and get myself burned or something! Ought to do this 19th century correct and make everybody wear wool!

Haven't got together or heard from most of them since that cookout in '09. Most the older folks don't travel at all anymore. And as far as us "younger" folk, if you took all the gas in all the Britton & Scheiderer gas tanks right now, you wouldn't come up with a good fart. Would love to join y'all. Sounds fun. But I think I better save what gas I have to get Mike to work on Tuesday. If you still need a place to set up that table and grill, y'all are more than welcome to set up here. I might be able to contribute a hunk of Lynn (steaks or burger - or even liver if that suits anyone) and all the wood you can burn in a day. Just let us know ahead of time so I can get the beef out of the freezer. Woods already to go. Hope you all have a great time!

That would be closer for Sharon and Eloise. Are you sure it would be no imposition? I'll see what they want to do.

I don't figure Eloise will show anyhow so I told her her name and number are going in every public outhouse in Athens and Meigs County. I need to go check Strouds run tomorrow but we'll probably end up at the road side rest on 33 just past the Albany intersect. Thanks anyway.

I spent two hours looking for the family reunion and got tired and PO'd in the process and gave up. Hard to figure how one can hide a GT in such a small town. Maybe they moved it on me when they found out I planned on coming!

Too windy and wet for us to do anything here. So, will stay home. Hope the power does not go off. So far, has not, even though we have had plenty of wind and rain.

Wish it would hit. Man I need some cool! It finally hit! Still raining too! Eloise lost her land line, Sharon is texting and the traffic there is real slow, some gal texted my air card number, sooooo I think maybe the storm is playing havoc with communications. Lots of wind, some lightening but must be well off as there is no thunder and it is still raining. ;D

We're still having wind and rain but should move out sometime tomorrow. Really don't know how much rain we've had, but it is a LOT!! Still have power on which is amazing. Hope it stays that way.
All have a good holiday.

Labor Day GT turned into a "getting to know you" cookout with the neighbor's across the valley. Mike & Mike grilled us the "Rancher's Sampler Platter" of lamb chops, goat, steaks (our contribution), and chicken. Also had jazzed up macaroni salad, deviled eggs, homegrown maters, neopolitan ice cream, and iced tea. Nothing real fancy just whatever each of us couples had ingredients for. Rule was that you were't allowed to go to the store for anything. It had to be in your pantry/freezer.
We all sat out on the porch after dinner and watched the rains roll in while talking about Paso Fino horses, Jersey cattle, and some of the crazy-ass stuff we've seen (and did) while on the show circuits. Angie and I decided that when the Prize Patrol comes to Blackfork, we're leaving the men and heading to Lucasville Swapmeet and then up to the Quarter Horse Congress in October. I told her we can't miss the All-American Dairy Show in Louisville. So she raised me Equine Affaire next April in Columbus. The two Mike's are going to wish that us gals never met once this ball gets rollin'.
