Can ya'll tell me if Camp Chef is made in USA? They got a purty little 4qt DO advertised in the Sportsman's Guide that I'd like to pick up, but Granny and Grandaddy always told me to NEVER buy cast iron skillets n such outside of the USA cause they wasn't no decet way to season 'em and they'd crack easy out of the fire. Thanky!

Toby, Camp Chef is made overseas, however it is pretty good cookware..and seasons nicely...is it Griswald, Wagner or Lodge quality? ..no, but it is good....many of your top DO competetors use Camp Chef..I have some of the older ones and they do nicely..but I still prefer the old USA ones, and next to that it would Lodge (which is the only brand made in the USA today)

Thanks! I was afraid of that I just ain't gonna buy no overseas iron... If I stumble over an old Lodge I'll get it. I don't need another DO, but it was a good price...so I considered it. The one I have now is at least a hundred years old and there are no markings on it anywhere, but it is seasoned mighty nicely, anything from biscuits to dump cakes comes out of it easily and it cleans right up with just a few wipes of the old dish cloth. It'll never see another bed of coals out in the woods. I'll get me another one day for that. Same as my skillets. I have a set Granny gave me that she got from her momma and I have a pair of old Wagners I bought at a flea market five or six years ago. Granny's don't leave the house, but them other two stay in my camping trunk along with all my other hunting season camp gear.

Oops....Dang dyslexia must have kicked in. I thought we were having a contest for the Camp's Iron Chef. Now I'm disappointed.

Keep an eye out on E-bay Toby. Sometimes you can find some good deals. Also toss brother Freddie a hint. MO seems to have more than their fair share of vintage iron.
