It's almost here!!! ;D I'm healing slowly after my surgeries, but if I stay on track, I'll be taking on a mighty active season this year. Been a long time since I could afford such a Spring trip, but I'm gonna hit the road for other reasons, so I figure to incorporate a little turkey hunting along the way. I'll start the season right here in Florida, then I'm off to Atlanta, GA for a hunt or two before I swing my way over to Birmingham, AL. From there I'm heading to Shreveport, LA and a long visit ith my best bud Brian and from there I'll be stopping in Arkysaw, Missouri and Wyoming. I'll take an extended side trip to Utah to spend time with my Donna, before heading to Montana and South Dakota to wrap up the season. Only problem is that if I spank an Osceola before I leave, perforate an Eastern along the way and knock hell out of a Merriams...then I gotta figure out a way to back up a couple thousand miles for a Rio Grand gobbler to complete my single season "Grand Slam". Anybody else as excited about turkeys season coming up as I am? Of course, I'm putting the cart before the horse, but I've even got a taxidermist lined up for the mounts if I should tag trophy birds... www.wildaboutfowl.com they do the most incredible turkey mounts I've seen. Really nice work! ;D
