I have a lot on my plate right now with school and soon to be looking for a new career as a meat clerk/processor. However, next year, I might look into enlisting with a company as a potential apprentice cook. My problem is I have googled to know end and cannot seem to find any companies near me in Dayton, Ohio. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm.....Not sure what type/size of company you're looking to work with. Have you checked with some of the folks over at Dorothy Lane? I know they are considered a grocery store, but they have contacts in all areas of the food production/restaurant trade. From what I know of them, if you are serious and present yourself in a professional manner there is a good possibility they can refer you. Kinda get to know the management staff and network with them. Maybe one of the chefs that come in for their cooking schools knows of something. Somebody is sure to know someone else. Seems I've heard the Kettering location is the best to check with.

OOPS, sorry folks, I wasn't very clear. I meant Company cook apprentice for a reenactment group.

Oh that's easy, just show up at any re-enactment and tell them what you want to do.
