On January 27th, a few of us Ohio guys got together and did a pheasant hunt. We had a great time and bagged 12 birds in 2 hours. Grand Valley hunting ranch was a great place and put on a great hunt. If anyone ever wants to do something like this, they are highly recommended. left to right kneeling are Roger (our dog handler from the Ranch), and Bill Allsop (Buckeye). Standing are Dave Shackle (United 289) Matt Venier (DH 56's son), and John Venier (DH 56).

So now you got to hang them from the rafters by the neck until they drop from the body right!

Actually, we took the city slicker way out and had the folks at the ranch clean our birds.

You know after a long day of hunting like that its nice to let someone else clean the birds.
The only thing I dont like about it is those places usually just skin 'em out and split the bird down the back.
That's not condusive to smoking or doing a traditional Thanksgiving style roast. So I usually ask them to leave me a few birds to pluck.
mmmmm, smoked pheasant. I didn't get any this year.
