This coming week-end 7 - 9 July 06. If you happen to be in striking distance drop by. There will be mock battles with a large number of reenactors, this is the 6th largest in th US, really nice displays of historic weaponry, a great living history display, and maybe a cup of fresh hot for a friend who introduces their selves! ;D McConnelsville sits on the Muskingum river just off SR 78. Night fire is Friday at 900 P.M. along the banks of the river. Battles are Saturday and Sunday.

Turned out plumb terrific. We had twenty two of our clan of 30is members show up with nine tents set up for the Raiders. There were two mortars, a mountain howitzer, a rocket launcher and of course the field kitchen on display. The Raiders are attracting quite a crowd now days and everyone is sharpening up on their history and military skills. We missed you Faith and Mike but you know a fella who has been posting on NAHC and one of the wheels with IHLA who moved down around McConnelsville from Toledo recently showed up and introduced himself. Fred Monhullen and his wife were welcome guests at the camp site and we added one another's faces with names to our memory circuits. Unfortunately my camera was on the fritz and I could not get a picture. Anywho the rest of you folk missed a great event.
