Well, I hope you all had fun! Obviously, I didn't make it (just like I said when I talked about my sanity on the cork board a few weeks ago, everything at work has "hit the fan" and I didn't know if I could have the approval as planned. I didn't have it.)
On the plus side, I did get a DO reseasoned and the schools did really well on the achievement tests from the state, so I guess that's all well and good that it cramped my fun a little. I'm wondering though, do we want to do something in July or August? Maybe a camp out with a workshop on cast iron? We could use the same place or try another place in the NE or someplace near Columbus or go further away towards Cincinnati. What is the thought on this?

Well, we are hoping for some time a little later in the summer. I'm going to have to really bust my behind to do that though!! We're thinking of taking a weekend in Jackson, OH at lazy dog camp resorts.

If it's between the 18th and 25th of Aug, I'll be there (not the 21st that's family reunion day ) have ya thought about plum creek or that area it's fairly central or up around Marion (that's real central ;D)

I haven't thought of anything seriously yet. I am hoping pawclaws will comment with his thoughts since he's our commander in chief. Heather H.

You folk don't need my permission to have a gathering! I have activities scheduled for Jul and September plus opening my flea market which will take up some week-ends I'm sure. I have not made a decision on the Powder Horn thing in September yet although I am leaning toward participating. I would love to come cook up something with you. Why don't we do this. First get a roster of folk who would like to attend something. Give me a draft of the proposal so I can e-mail it to everyone. Then from the responses formulate a central location and date! (There how's that?)

Which powder horn thing? You're opening a flea market? Fantastic. If you want, I can get contact info for the persons in Louisville. They just opened Frenchies last year and I'm sure they would be very happy to share experiences. I will work on a proposal for a camp weekend over this weekend. I'm looking at my schedule and I'm still just not sure where to squeeze things in. However, another option would be to sweat it out and do something fun over the holiday weekend in July. I'm not sure if most people do family things on that holiday, but I'm not above forcing my family to do my "thing" because it's my birthday.

I requested interest input in a mass e-mail. Iam saying that here because there are two or three who do not yet have valid e-mail addresses(long story). The Powder Horn thing is an invite to consult to and provide a demo/discussion with Powder Horn for the Cleveland area Scout Council to a large group of "Highly Qualified" Scout Leaders/Explorer Guides. ;D

"HighlyQualified" you say... interesting!
I saw the mass mail. Makes a lot of sense to do it that way. I think that's a lovely way to start getting a feel for interest levels. Thank you for your assistance.

Yes these boys are said to have their "STG" and anyone consulting will need to be on their toes and very well read.

You know Marion might be nice. I have a few relatives still alive there that I haven't seen in quite some time. What is there up there we might be able to take The Raiders to and get them a payday? Got a $3,000.00 broke cannon that needs bought and fixed.
