Well if we're gonna meet, it's got to be SOON!!!! Mike got hired by Ingram Barge yesterday and catches a bus in Marietta on Saturday morning for Paducah. Today's his last day at the pallet mill. He'll be home around 3:30 this afternoon. After 0900 Saturday, he won't be back home for 35 days! Have gone flat busted trying to get all his gear purchased on short notice.
Give me a call and we'll see what we can arrange for the Coolspot. 590-7686. Gonna be away from the puter the rest of the day the way it looks now.
Oh. How will we ever survive without those puny Gatewood paychecks?? ;D
Good news is that he WILL be home for 2007 GT!

You're a blessing Phil. Not only did we get the fellow some britches and the dope his Dr. prescribed, but I got to looking at the paperwork or all required gear and noticed that the address on his drivers license MUST match his current residence or he's not permitted aboard the boat. Guess it's for when they have to claim a body out of the water and need to contact next of kin. Anyways he still had Barnesville on the license. Got it changed a moment ago and now he's all set to go. Just one thing ain't fair here!!! If I smell like fish when he gets home, he can get suspicious with just cause. If he comes home smelling like fish, it's just from a fish kill somewhere on the river.

You are welcome welcome!! He sure does look excited! I guess he is due a break or two. I hope it works out well for you two. If you guys need anything while he is away just let me know. I can't always help, but when I can; I will. Lucky you caught that driver's license thing too. I confess I was a bit worried when I saw him carying that cane!

I bought him that cane as a joke after last years GT. After all the mess with the wet firewood and Mike having one of the first fires to stay lit, everyone said he knew how to handle his wood. I figured that cane looked alot like his wood and just had to buy it. He's been packing it everywhere he goes ever since. Has come in handy a couple of times when his ankle ticked out on him.
Guess I'm going to be busy while Mike's gone. Neighbor guy came by today. Mowed the yard and then tilled up a garden spot for me because he said he drove by last night and saw how tall my mater plants in the living room window are.

That's terrific! I'd ask my cousin, the Sheriff, to keep an eye out for you but you know that sorry SOB didn't even return my call? I was going to ask him to check on another cousin that nobody had heard from in some time.

That's OK. He'd have to go plain clothed if he came over or our youngest boy would spazz-out. (Won't go into details. His usual bull fritters. Happened this past Monday night.) That's OK too. Now he has a new step-grandma who is a guard at the juvenile lock-up in Belmont Co. Her next door neighbor is his probation officer. And now he has a neighbor who is the Athens Co. Sheriff, who is also cousin to one of my friends. The boy ain't got a snowball's chance of getting away with anything now!! Even if dad isn't home!!

I'm still packed up with Civil War gear. Probably won't need it this year, maybe never the way things look. I have had the most curious urge to get myself a popcorn stand and hotdog cart.
