I have a couple toys aside from my ML's. :-XThere's an H&R Mod 999 .22; a Ruger Security-Six .357/.38; a Beretta 92FS 9MM; a Sig-Sauer P220 .45 auto; a .45 cal Kentucky single shot CVA percussion and 2 .45 cal BP single shot percussion hide-aways. Hey I may shoot and hunt with ML's, but I have a CC permit and I use the hand gun to keep proficiant and safe. I mean, you never know when an ---hole will have a need for stupid. I take my toys and get to play with some LEO's in the Pittsburgh area because of a close relative there. I feel it's my civic duty to keep them shooting. When we play, they don't seem to realize they're getting practice they otherwise may not do on their own.

TT, I have shot the S&W .500 and have came to the conclusion I will never own one. That baby is a monster and is no fun to shoot. If you don't flinch now, you will after shooting that thing. The only thing I can compare it to, is shooting a sawed off 12 ga 3" with one hand. But im sure there are a lot of people out there that will love it, just not practical for me.

I had the oportunity to shoot the "monster" in the Hunter set up and found it no worse than a heavy frame .44 mag. Th ballance was delightful and the shoulder strap made it very easy to come to point and fire...was a bit cautious(read scared here ;D) at first..but the second shot hit the bullseye at 50yds and so did the next 8 out of 10 rounds...
