(blush) Thanks folks! (shuffling feet) I appreciate the nice thought and kind wishes. Ever wake one morning and realize that you aren't a kid anymore? Guess that happens to everyone sooner or later.

Here's what it looks like looking out my window right now: Yep, it's snowing pretty good! Thanks for all the fine greetings and wishes. Update...change that to it has come the biggest blizzard of the century here (21st century that is). Roads are slicker than otter snot, and I think we will just hole up and hibernate for a bit. Got food, got heat, got water...what more could you ask for! ;D

ROTFLMBO! I did accidentally make a snow-sasquatch a bit ago. We had gone over to a friend's house to take a covered dish, due to a death in their family. It was a virtual whiteout when we got back over to my house. Since it looks like it is set in for the evening, I decided to move my sister's car over by my truck out of the way since she will probably be here for a while. I first had to sweep all the snow off her car, then move it, and when i came in the house I had so much snow in my beard that I looked like Santa Claus.

"Got food, got heat, got water...what more could a guy ask for?" Sounds like that old John Anderson song "Paradise". "I got deer on the woods, tomatoes in a jar, a fire and a VCR..."

Awe, thanks, CG! I appreciate that. It sure is good to see the Betty Boop shimmy-girl back on line! All in all it has been a birthday to remember! Let's see...all those good thoughts by friends. The squirrel drinking beer with a straw (ever try that? It will get you drunker than Cooter Brown!). Making snow angels in the yard along with making a snow sasquatch. My sis made an English pot-roast with carrots and taters for dinner (you guys would have been proud of me...I ate very modestly). She also gave me three new decent shirts. Mother mail ordered a matched pair of medieval swords to add to my collection of medieval weapons. My nephew and his wife send me a nifty pocket knife that has a hunting knife on one end and a rapid load utility knife on the other. So I made out like a bandito!
