Michele Dickerson 592-3216 This is the VSO; any questions? (She certainly got me to stand to attention!) Michele has been a life long resident of Athens County. She is accredited with the Governors Office of Veterans Affairs, American Legion, AMVETS, Disabled American Veterans, & Veterans of Foreign Wars. She holds a life membership to the AMVETS Post 76 here in Athens and a regular membership through the American Legion Post 21 in Athens. As a reminder to all: The Veterans Service Office is not a branch of the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is funded by county tax dollars only. As the County Veterans Service Officer(CVSO), Micheles main function is to assist veterans and their families in receiving the benefits they are entitled to through the Department of Veterans Affairs. And to inform them of other programs/benefits that they may be eligible for. She is here to serve YOU, the VETERAN, and your family. If you have any questions or concerns on your benefits, please do not hesitate to contact the office at 740-592-3216 or 3218. Courtesy: www.athenscountygovernment.com/acvs/Staff23.html
