Its not the first time, hopefully it will be the last...... To tell the truth I kind of thought his "tongue in cheek" was pretty good but Jesus, time and place for everything I guess. Obama done dropped a Mr. Goodbar in da punch bowl!

Hello! Thanks for bringing my attention to the Obama video. My skepticism about both presidential candidates had been deepening and I was progressively shutting the whole political circus out.
I watched the video you referenced and then embarked on an exploration. I got in touch with the Dems to hear their take on it: This video is real, he did make these remarks, unfortunately they've been taken out of context. He isn't mocking the bible or questioning the validity of christian doctrine. He's simply saying that religion isn't a good guide by which to set policy.
I then cruised around the web reading a variety of articles from both sides and checking out the respective videos. I feel a lot clearer now about the options and really appreciate your catalytic prompting. kj

I'm sure his comments were meant in humor but still rub the more prudish a bit the wrong way. This little bit of insight into his decision making power suggests to me that there is room for improvement. He should have seen this one coming. Frankly I don't have a lot of love for any politician; especially those who make it a career rather than a contribution. I'd rather see our leaders drawn at random.

"I'd rather see our leaders drawn at random." Heck, I'd rather see them drawn and quartered!
