Yesterday, June 25th was the 133rd anniversary of George Custer's attack on the Souix and Cheyenne villages along the Little Bighorn River. I recently watched an incredible documentary that was filled with information I hadn't previously known and was astonished to find out. There were witnesses to the "Last Stand" of the 7th Cavalry. In 1905 some feller, I forgot his name, photographed the battlefield and tracked down eyewitnesses to the battle, three Crow, who had acted as scouts for the army and were released from Custer that morning after having guided them to the Souix and Cheyenne. They remained in the area, at a distance, to see what transipred. They got an eyefull, to say the least! Also, many members of the Souix and Cheyenne that both witnessed and had taken part in the battle. They described in great detail the events of that day and tell stories of brave acts on both sides and of stupidity of the American commander. It was a helluva documentary. All seemed to agree however, that Custer's last words were in fact, "Holy shlt, look at all them censoredin' Indians!"

I saw the same awhile ago, and they also pointed out the ages and physical disabilities of the troopers that lived in the saddle, plus the fact, the weaponry used by the Indians were more sophisticated then the troops in the field which they took from other attacks and raids on general population.....Lever action rifles were not had by U.S soldiers because of the cost and out moded pistols if they were allowed to carry them, so most of the troops were using some old single shot rifles .....
