Asking for prayer for Lana and her family, please. She is going through some major mental health issues and has been in and out of several facilities in the two months. Just got a call that she is at their local hospital, awaiting transport to a facility at Hazard. She has been diagnosed with bipolar-type 1, split personality, and several forms of bodily harmful OCD (on top of the generalized seizure disorder she's had since birth). She was put on Lithium a few weeks ago. Last night, they added psychosis. They are eventually working on a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. She is hearing voices and seeing things, and as of last night, the voices are telling her to kill all her family then herself. This is even more serious because they have two little girls under 2yrs in the home. The whole family is at wits end trying to keep safe. Unfortuately, Mike and I have been of little help with all that's been going on here. Hopefully, things will settle down and I can get somebody to feed the calves and dogs for a few days so I can go down to visit and see what's going on. Personally, I feel that until Lana will allow Christ into her life and follow Him, she's not going to get better. She also has to want to get better and stop fighting everyone when they try to give/get her help and advice. Just keep praying brothers and sisters.

You're right; she has to want to get better first. Until she does, nothing will improve. But, when she gets to that point of giving and reaching out for help; it must be through Christ. Only He can cast away the demons and grant her some peace. She is in my prayers!

Doesn't look like we're going to get a chance to visit much. Hazard is a "state hospital" and visitation hours are 2 hours Wednesday evening and 2 hours on Sunday morning. Takes us about 3 hours to get down there. Almost impossible with those kind of visiting hours without a hotel stay, and it's another 2 hours to my folks if we decided to crash there.

Prolly gonna be hard on ya, not to go see her yourself; but that's an awful lot... Can you call during those times and talk to her?

Don't worry about Lana. Old what's his name might need some help with the kids but Lana needs the attention of the pro-staff and you would probably just get in the way. Let them do their work and keep them all in prayer.

Yeah. Been thinking the same thing. Up to this point none of them wanted anything to do with me. But now that Lana is having problems and the girls safety gets involved, Jason calls me up crying and wanting advice on what to do. Had me on the phone until 2am last night. Dunno what to tell them. Lana is finally reaching out and being forced to get the help she needs, but until she is ready to actually accept the help to get her mind an life back on track, ain't nothing I can do. She's still far from hitting her rock bottom though. Jason if finally getting a realization of what the consequences are of making babies when you don't take time to get to know the women your poking. 30 yrs old ain't no little boy no more. So let him figure out what he needs to do to keep them and keep them out of harms way. If that makes me a cold hearted bitch, then so be it. Trust me, my heart aches for them all. But, all I can do is offer it to the Lord and pray for his intervention and healing.
Until all that takes place, I'm going to spoil my other grandbaby rotten.

Well you know what Clint said; "Man's got to know his limitations." We know for sure that works.

Thanks y'all! He called back today wanting more of my opinion on the situation. I started gently (and sometimes not so gently) putting things back in his lap. Guess some of it was a little heavy and fell on his toes 'cause he got kinda quiet and had to get off the phone.

He is scared, maybe even under conviction. Might be a good thing.
