Went out back to the kitchen garden and got a bowl full of spinach, some oregano and basil, and an onion. Made up some dough and used my harvest along with some italian sausage ragu, pepperoni, and mozzarella to make myself stromboli.

Thawed out one of the smaller packs of Porter burger, grabbed some lettuce and onion from the garden, some chili powder, cumin, onion powder, a few slices of that cheap co-jack cheese, a few slices of mater, some of FIL's hotter than hell homemade chili sauce, a dollop of sour cream. Add a box of shells and I had....Tacos, X4

Lunch was Chinese stuff at the buffet. Sushi, octopus, pepper beef, chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce, hot and sour soup, kimshee, lots of shrimp sautéed, orange glazed, coconut, and sody pop.

I'm assuming you were either in Ashland or Parkersburg. I've never known Athens or Gallipolis to offer much more than 40 kinds of chicken. I had homemade beef egg rolls and egg drop soup. Never did find that purple sticky rice I got at the Bulk Depot a year or so ago. I've torn this place apart looking, too.

I had a late lunch...around 3:30, so I fixed a small pot of red beans and rice. I bought the "just add water" mix packages from Walmart for a dollar and they don't taste that bad. I fixed one of them and ate some Saltine cracker, I figured the salt would do me good cause of all the sweat I lost working on the fence.
I ate the whole pot (two servings) and half the sleee of crackers and washed it down with water, water, and water... I think I'll skip supper tonight.

I made a hay n horse feed run to Bushnell where they had a 30% off sale for the 4th, lol. I bought a dozen bgs of sweet pellets and a dozen square bales of Tifton 65 (reallly heavy bales too) and stopped in at Wendy's for a "Baconator" cheeseburger and a Coke.

Tacos today. Mom & dad had pot roast. After we butchered the first steer, mom said to go ahead and sell the second one. I was going to take a big hit in the pocket. But that's generally how the cattle game goes. That was before they had a chance to inspect and sample their portion of the meat. While we were eating I got a call ORDERING me NOT to sell this steer! "Don't know where you got your feedlot skills, but you've mastered raising Jersey beef! Take that other calf on up to around 1250. We'll split him with you. This is some kinda T-riffic good eating!!! " Kinda felt good after all this rain we're getting and looking up at that wet, sloppy manure pit of a pen that I might be doing something right.
