Some sad news for ya'll that remember my pard, Rich Randell, and our escapades out at CCC!
His wonderful wife,Linda was found to have cancer a couple of years ago and they have been going thru operations.,chemo, infusions etc. Linda is weak now and is at home for her final days before she goes to the hospice. I am broken hearted to be telling you this but wanted you all to know what has been going on.
Would ya'll say some prayers for my pard and his wonderful partner? Thanks so much!

Prayers on the way, Bill. Sorry to hear about the illness and problems...never could figure out why it happens to nice folks. Same as with my nephews sweet little wife, she fouught cancer and they beat that with chemo, but the chemo nearly fried her kidneys...so it was a devil or the witch situation.
Tell Rich and his missus that we are sending our prayers and good thoughts from Rogue Cabin.

Bette and I went over to see Rich and Linda yesterday and spent time with them and Linda's Dad and her youngest Brother who is in the medical field and is a huge help. We said our good bye's but am sure Linda never heard what was being said. Bette and I are devestated by this but are happy to know that she isn't suffering now and soon will be Home. We worry about Rich but he is holding up remarkably well and was/is happy from ya'alls support. Thanks again for the prayers and best wishes.

Father let Rich know that Your Word is Truth and that she is at peace with no more suffering and only Your promises to look forward to. Confirm for him Father God that she awaits and rejoices at the prospect of meeting him in youth and vigor for all eternity. Grant him Father peace and comfort while You chase away the vestiges of lonliness and fill those empty spaces with the sweetness of Your very presence. In jesus precious name I ask. Amen
Bill, if there are to be flowers I'd like to send some on behalf of OCC if you can get an address for me. If not let him know that he is in our thoughts and prayers please. Thanks my friend.

Thanks, Phil. There will be a memorial at a later date as Linda gave her body to research-her organs to try and help others out with this dreaded desease.
Rich asked me to tell people who inquire to help out, if they would send a check to: Hospice of the Hills 825 N. Spring Harrison, Arkansas....72601 in memory of Linda Randell
When all is done her ashes will be placed by her Mom's in Illinois. I will let ya'll know when the menorial takes place. Thanks again to the OCC!!

:-XWant to share with you some news on Rich. ???Monday evening he was really pooped and took a snooze to wake up with chills, fever etc and when he got up almost fell on his face. Left leg was swollen and had a large red rash--pain was excruiating!! Went back to bed with 5 blankets on top and passed out! Didn't wake up 'til yesterday morning! Called the Doc and was given a strong antibiotic and was told that he probably had been bitten by something. A brown recluse was ruled out and thought maybe a black widow!! Doc said if he wasn't feeling better by Friday to come in to the hospital for a look. Got a report from him today that he is feeling better but still has pain and a swollen leg/rash. He is finally eating. Told him to watch himself and to give me a call ASAP if he needs any help. This worries the he11 out of me! Will report back when I hear more but I know your prayers would help out too!

:)Just got word that it probably wasn't a black widow-no fang marks-no bullet hole so its not a recluse but most likely a "Arkansas Black Recluse Rattlehead Cottonmouth"!! per Rich!! ;D He's feeling better with a slight fever and the pain in his leg subsides when he lies down or walks!? But when he gets up to walk he almost passes out??? The leg is still swollen but he has his appetite back. If not better he will go see the Doc! That's the latest folks! Mikey, our Kansas friend, said that the bite was from a "Kansas 40# rattle headed copper-snapper" ;D ;D ;D

:)Had a wonderful evening celebrating Linda K. Randell's life yesterday with the Randell family and friends. It was nice to see/visit with some of my HOBB friends and also to visit with OCC friends Brian and wife and Matt! :-/Thanks for the support as Rich was happy with all the love and concern that was shown. Linda was special-one of a kind person. I know that she was with us all having a good time with eats, songs and dance as that was her last wish!
