Only two does this evening and the white cat was not out there to entertain them. But, there was a lot of shooting just before dark, so I am thinking ones the shooting at anything as there are two more on the 19th and 20th for gun season.
Usually before now they have the first day record of the deer killed, but not yet so far?

Our bear season is still open but I haven't been out. Most of the bears are in hibernation so seeing one would be nothing but dumb luck. We figured to have taken a bear in the early season but a certain game warden messed that up. Oh well, he will be bigger next year. Especialy after I feed him all year. Our second gun/deer opens shortly and we may go out.

I'm sick as a dog, but went out this morning anyway. I had a big 8pt show up early and I whiffed the shot at a hunnert yards. no b;ood anywhere, but a hat full of hair where he had stood. Looks like I skint the bullet right under his chest.

No such a thing on private land. On state land though there's the license, management area stamp, archery/muzzleloader stamp, and on some of them there's a daily use fee. You can look it all up on www.myFWC.com and follow the links to the hunting information. Each different WMA has it's own set of dates and regs regarding the hog hunting....a real pain in the ass. But on private land, they're considered tresspassing livestock and are subject to the will of the landowner; fair game day or night and with any legal weapon...fully automatics if you got a permit, lol. Tons of fun to hunt; when you coming down?

It sounds like Fl. is like Tn. on hog regs but doesn't take it to the stupid level like Tn..
Tn.- Feral hogs are on private land. Wild Boars are on public land.ROTFLMBO over that one.
Tn.- TWRA says hogs are a major problem and they want to get rid of them.
Tn.- Hogs are such a problem that hunting them is open all year, no limit, no check-in and any weapon ON PRIVATE LAND. Public land "wild boars" follow the deer regs.
Tn. - releasing hogs even on private land is against the law. Cows, chickens, turkeys, ect. are allowed. Go figure.
I was kicking a thought around my head of maybe making you a trade for a hog hunt.

January, february, June, July, or August. I've got three properties loaded with hogs, so bring a BIG cooler! In fact, I just got in on a piece in Lakeland where the old boy's got a handful of top grade hog dogs and it's a very exciting hunt. Anybody wants in on real excitement; that's the way to go! Cedar Key is flat overrun with hogs and the corn feeders are a sure thing; hogs are plumb stupid about corn. It's a slam dunk hunt from a treestand. Perry is dog hunting or spot and stalk, but it's really tough to stalk once they get up in the thick stuff. Figure out when and lemme know!
